Chat & Query Menus - All Controls found in Chat & Query Windows.

Digital Irc

Personal Notes - Access Personal Note Pad.

Clear - Clears Chat Window.

Info - Gets User, Client, Dns Information of other Users.
        Whois - Gets Information on someone in the Channel.
        Finger - This allows you to finger a persons address to find out more information about them.
        Version - Tells you what version of mIRC someone is using.
        Time - Gets the current time and today's date from someone.
        User Info - Gets the User Information through a Ctcp request.
        Client Info - Gets the Client Information through a Ctcp request.
        Dns - Gets the DNS Information of a nickname.
        Uwho - The uwho {nick} command will open a clear and informative User Central. You can
                         also store address info of your friends in the User Central for future reference.

Users Levels - Contains Auto Ops, Auto Voice, Info, ChanServ AOPS, SOPS,
                            AKICKS, MASS KICKS, AND DEOPS.

        Auto Ops - Auto Ops only OP's the ones you have added to the Auto Ops.
            Auto Ops ON/OFF - Turns Auto Ops ON/OFF.
            Auto Ops ADD - Adds someone to the Auto Ops.
           Notice Auto Ops ADD - Add someone to the Auto Ops and Sends them a notice
                                                  that you have Added them to the Auto Ops.
            REMOVE - Removes a Nickname from Auto Ops.
            CLEAR ALL- Clears All Nicknames from the Auto Ops.

        Auto Voice - Auto Voice only +V's the ones you have added to the Auto Voice.
            Auto Voice ON/OFF - Turns Auto Voice ON/OFF.
            Auto Voice ADD - Adds someone to the Auto Voice.
            REMOVE - Removes a Nickname from Auto Voice.
            CLEAR ALL - Clears All Nicknames from the Auto Voice.

        ChanServ Nick - So you can access ChanServ Commands in the Nick list.
            Op - Gives someone an op in the Channel.
            Deop - Deops someone in the channel.
            Access - Give someone Founder access to your Channel.

        ChanServ Aop - Lets you Add, Delete, and bring up a List of the Channel AOPS.
            Add - Add someone to the Aop List of a Channel you are in.
            Del - Deletes someone from the Aops List of a Channel you are in.
            List - Brings up the Aops List of a Channel you are in.

        ChanServ Sop - Lets you Add, Delete, and bring up a List of the Channel SOPS.
            Add - Add someone to the Sop List of a Channel you are in.
            Del - Deletes someone from the Sops List of a Channel you are in.
            List - Brings up the Sops List of a Channel you are in.

        ChanServ AKick - Lets you Add, Delete, and bring up the AKICK List of the Channel.
            Add - Add someone to the AKICK List of a Channel you are in.
            Del - Deletes someone from the AKICK List of a Channel you are in.
            List - Brings up the AKICK List of a Channel you are in.

CONTROL - Controls for Blacklist, Shut Up, Ignore, Kicks, Bans Time Bans, Kick Counter.

        Blacklist - This is a Akick built into the Digital irc
            Blacklist Turn Blacklist ON/OFF.
            Add - ADD a Nickname to the Blacklist.
            Remove - REMOVE Nickname from the Blacklist.
            Clear All - REMOVE All Nicknames from the Blacklist.

        Shut Up - Shut Up - If you put someone on the Shut Up and they
                        Speak in the Channel the DiGiTaL Irc will Kick them.
            Shut Up Turn Shut Up ON/OFF.
            Add - ADD a Nickname to the Shut Up List.
            Remove - REMOVE Nickname from the Shut Up List.
            Clear All - REMOVE All Nicknames from the Shut Up List.

        Ignore - Ignore makes it so you can not see someone who is being a Pest. You have the Choice
                     of putting them on Ignore for Everything, Ctcps, Invites, Notices, Private Messages,
                     Control Codes, and Channel Messages.
            Ignore - Turn Ignore ON/OFF
            Everything - Everything includes Ctcps, Invites, Notices, Private Messages,
                               Control Codes, and Channel Messages.
            Ctcps - Ingnore's for Ctcps
            Invites - Ingnore's for Invites
            Notices - Ingnore's for Notices
            Private Msg's - Ingnore's for Private Messages
            Control Codes - Ingnore's for Control Codes (colors, bold, underline, reverse).
            Channel Msg's - Ingnore's for Channel msg's.

        A W A Y - Set yourself away and take messages on your pager.

            Set Away - Set Away system ON/OFF.
                With Pager ON -
                With Pager OFF -

            Set Back - Turns Away Messages OFF

            Quick Away - Set and Unset your own Preset Away Messages.
                Add a Reason - Add a Quick away Message.
                Quick Away Reason - Pick a Away Message.
                Unset a Reason - Unset a Away Message.

        Message System - Access Away Message Window Controls.

            Message Window - Sets Message Window ON/OFF. This is used when you
                                       don't want others to message you. But you will see the
                                       Message in the channel Window.

            Message Window - Set Away Messages for Private/Channel.

            Set Auto Idle Away Message ON/OFF - Turns ON/OFF your auto Idle Away System.

            Idle Time - Set your Idle time Before your system set you Away (in minutes).

            Pager System is ON/OFF - Turns Pager ON/OFF.

        View Pages - Views Pages sent to you while you were away.

        Clear Pages - Clears Pages sent to you while you were away.
 
 

Ctcp - Dcc - Ping - Contains Sends files, Dcc Chat, Query Messages, Notices, Op Messages
                                   Ping Chanserv, Single user Pings, Channel Pings.

        Send - Send a File to a Nick.

        Allow Dcc Add - Add a user to your Allow list.

        Allow Dcc Remove - Removed from your Allow list.

        Allow Dcc List - Bringing up your Allow list.

        Single Ping - Single Ping to one Nick. Checks Lag time between you and them.

        Ping Chanserv - Ping ChanServ for Lag time.

        Time - Telling your time.
            Echo - Telling the time in private.
           Verbose - Telling the time in the Channel.

        Time/Date - Telling your time and date.
            Echo - Telling the time and date in private.
            Verbose - Telling the time and date in the Channel.

        Online Time - Telling your Online time.
            Echo - Telling your Online time in private.
            Verbose - Telling your Online time in the Channel.

        Oper Lenght - Telling how long your Operational time has been up.
            Echo - Telling how long your Operational time has been up in private.
            Verbose - Telling how long your Operational time has been up in the Channel..
 

I D E N T- Nick Management and Identify to NickServ.

        Change to Main-Nick - Change to Main-Nick &  IDENTIFY to NickServ.

        Change Nick - Access Your Change Nicks so you can choose from Different Nick that you use.

        Identify My-Nick Identify My-Nick to NickServ.

        Nick Manager - ADD to Your Nick List. (I D E N T)

        Ghost Kill - Ghost Kill uses NickServ recover & NickServ release to recover your nick.

        Unban My-Nick - Unban My-Nick. Just add #channel you was Ban from.

        A/S/L - Tells (F9) and Sets AGE SEX LOCATION.

        Email -Tells (F10) and Sets E-Mail.

        Web Url - Tells (F11) and Sets Web Url.

        ICQ UIN - Tells (F12) Sets ICQ UIN Number.

        Setup - Access to sub menue to change settings.

Help User - Helpful Tips and Hints for the Nick or Channel.

        Explain - Longer Version of the Warnings. Explains Why.
            Rules - Says the rules for # are as follows: No Swearing, Repeating, Flooding the
                        Channel with text/nick/join or part, Advertising, Sexual Attitudes, Harassing
                        Users, Excessive Caps, Offensive Nicks, Clones, Auto Greets, or Op
                        Begging. (This is also an english only Channel and you must have fun!)
            Caps - Warns everyone that caps are rude/annoying and can be considered yelling
                        and/or shouting, so please don't use excessive caps or you risk being
                        kicked/banned.
            Swear - Warns everyone that swearing is NOT allowed in this channel and can result
                          in a kick/ban.
            English - Warns everyone that this is an english ONLY channel, please speak english,
                          or you risk being kicked/banned.
            Repeat - Warns everyone that repeating is annoying, and can result in a kick/ban.
            Sex - Chan Warns everyone that this is NOT a sex channel nor is it a pick-up joint,
                     please don't use it as one or you risk being kicked/banned.
            Ops Begging - Warns everyone that Op Beggars are annoying! Ops are earned, they are
                                    not given to beggars, so please don't beg for ops or you risk being
                                    kicked/banned.

        Warnings - Shorter version of the Explain.
            Caps - Please Drop The Caps.
            Swear - No Swearing.
            English - English Only, Please.
            Repeat - Please Do Not Repeat.
            Sex Chan - This Is Not A Sex Channel.
            Ops Begging - Do Not Beg for Ops.

        Irc Help - Info on finding files Sending file Problems, Pumping up Mirc, Mp3 Info, DmSetup
                        and Cut and Paste.
            Local Host - Go to Mirc General Options\Connect\Local Info Make sure the local host is
                                checked.
            To get MP3's - To get a song, type my nick (my CURRENT nick) and then the
                                    (FULL) filename.You MUST use my CURRENT nick!!! Example: If my
                                    Nick is "Me" and you want "jimi_hendrix-johnny_b_goode-[live].mp3" you
                                    would type !Me jimi_hendrix-johnny_b_goode-[live].mp3
            Find Locator - Try @Find *FileName.mp3*  Or @Locator *File*Name* and see who had it.
                                    Replace File name with the words you are looking for...
                                    Example: @Locator *CCR*
                                    or @Find *Summer*In*the*City*
            Pump it up - Type /pdcc 2147483647  to Increase The Number of Packet Sends. (And Yes
                                it is Faster Than The 30 9's) Make Sure That The Packet Size is Set at 4096.
                                Do This By Typing: /dcc packetsize 4096. Also Type: /fsend on, For Fast Send.
                                You Can Also Add /wavget to Auto Start up Wavget When you Start up Mirc.
            Pump inst - You Can Add these Lines into Mirc\Options\IRC\perform and it will pump up your
                               mirc everytime you Log on. To add the command Click on the 2nd Icon Top Left.
                               Then Click on the IRC then click on Perform. In Perform you will See a Big Box
                               in the center. Add these 3 Commands in there each on there own line ==>  /pdcc
                               2147483647 /dcc packetsize 4096 /fsend on Then check the Box Above it Marked
                               On connect, perform these commands: This will tell mirc to use these commands
                              when starting mIRC.
            Mp3 info - Mp3 is an improved type of sound file that is much higher quality and takes up less
                              hard drive space than a wave. Example: A 3:26 wave at 11khz, 16 bit stereo is
                              8865KB. A 3:26 mp3 at 11khz, 32 bitseconds stereo is 804KB. Playing them
                              requires a special player called winplay3. The player is now available in 16 bit or
                              32 bit versions at http://www.iis.fhg.de/audio/index.html
            Dmsetup - If you need help with removing the DMSETUP from your system go to this web page

        Other - Contains help on requesting files in a private message, Color Chart, List of Servers, Dcc
                    sending problems, Ping, Netsplits, +V.
            Pvt Msg - Request Go to File, Options, Sounds and UNcheck the (Send "!nick file" as private
                            message) box.
           Color Chart - Hit your Control Key and K at the same time  To Bring up the Color Chart. Then
                                  Click on a color.
            List - To list channels type: /list ( some server may disconnect you, if this happens, you can try a
                     server like mindijari.dal.net )
            Dcc/Local Host - If you're having problems with DCC Chat/Send: Disconnect from IRC, then goto
                      Setup/Local Info, and clear the [Local Host] and [IP Address] boxes, and goto 'On
                      Connect Always Get:' and make sure '[X] Local Host' is checked. Then, reconnect.
                      If that doesn't work, try changing Normal to Server, or vice-versa.
            Ping - A ping by another nick is to check your lag/response time; which is the time it takes what
                      you type to get to others and what we type to get to you: The ping/pong is the server
                      checking if you are still active; the ping is them, the pong is your modem response.
            Netsplit - A split is when a few of the IRC servers gets temporarily disconnected with the rest.
                           The result is that everyone on those servers will appear to be quitting IRC (or the
                           opposite if you're on the wrong side of the split). Splits usually happen when the
                           Internet is overloaded with people. They usually don't last very long. Splits are a
                           ROYAL PAIN IN THE BUTT!!!!!
            +V - +V = Voice on a moderated channel, vip on a non-moderated (In other words...it means
                    almost nothing 'cept you spend too much time here) Action to do an action, type: /me your
                    action ( i.e. /me is glad he could get help )
            Cut/Paste - To cut and paste: highlight a text, by Left click and dragging your mouse over the
                              words, That will copy the word. That shows you what you are copping. Then click
                              on where you type. Then right click on it and select paste or for Windows 3.11 users
                              hit ctrl+c ( use ctrl+v to paste the text )
            Whois - To find a nick on IRC, type: /whois nick ( i.e. /whois Nick ) {This only works if the
                         person is on IRC at that moment}
            Notify - When you put nicks in your notify list, it tells you when that person joins/leaves IRC
                Def - When you put nicks in your notify list, it tells you when that person joins/leaves IRC
                Add - To add/del a nick from your notify, type: /notify nick ( i.e. /notify Nick )

        Nick - Info on Registering, Identifying, Dropping, Ghost, Release, Kill on a Nickname.
            Register - To register your nick, type: /msg NickServ REGISTER password
                            ( i.e. /msg NickServ REGISTER AsDw23 )
            Identify - To identify to your nick, type (using the nick you wish to identify to):
                           /msg nickserv@services.dal.net IDENTIFY password
                           ( i.e. /msg NickServ IDENTIFY AsDw23 )
            Drop - To drop a nick, first identify as the founder of it, then type: /msg NickServ DROP nick
                        ( i.e. /msg NickServ DROP Nick )
            Ghost - If someone is using your nick, type: /msg nickserv@services.dal.net recover nick
                         password ( i.e. /msg nickserv@services.dal.net recover Nick AsDw23 )
           Release - if your nick is being help by NickServ, type: /msg nickserv@services.dal.net release
                            nick password ( i.e. /msg msg nickserv@services.dal.net release Nick AsDw13 )
            Kill - On to set the nick kill option on for your nick, first, identify as the founder, then type
                     (using the nick you wish to set kill on for): /msg NickServ SET KILL ON New Nick
                     to change nick, type: /nick new-nick

        Channel - Registering, Identifying, Dropping, Info, and Topic on a Channel.
            Register - To register a channel, type: /msg ChanServ REGISTER #chan-name password
                            description ( i.e. /msg ChanServ REGISTER # AsDw23 Help and Chat Channel )
            Identify - To identify as founder of a channel, type: /msg ChanServ IDENTIFY #chan-name
                           password ( i.e. /msg ChanServ IDENTIFY # AsDw23 )
            Drop - To drop a channel, first, identify as the founder, then type: /msg ChanServ DROP
                        #chan-name ( i.e. /msg ChanServ DROP # )
            Info - To see info on a channel, type: /msg ChanServ INFO #chan-name
                     ( i.e. /msg ChanServ INFO # )
            Topic - To change a topic of a channel, type:
                        /topic #chan-name new topic here
                        ( i.e. /topic # Welcome To The Place For Casual Chat! )
                        {if the channel is set to +t, only ops may change the topic}

        Aop - How to ADD, Delete and bring up the Aop List.
            Add - To add an aop, first, you must be an sop or founder, if so, type:
                      /msg ChanServ AOP #chan-name ADD Nick|Mask
                      ( i.e. /msg ChanServ AOP # ADD Nick )
            Del To delete an aop, first, you must be an sop or founder, if so, type:
                      /msg ChanServ AOP #chan-name DEL Mask|Num
                      ( i.e. /msg ChanServ AOP # DEL 1 )
            List - To get a list of aops, first, you must be at least an aop, if so, type:
                      /msg ChanServ AOP #chan-name LIST

        Private - Different ways to send messages to others.
            Msg - To private message someone (msg), type: /msg nick message
                       ( i.e. /msg Nick Hi, what's up? )
            Notice - To send someone a private notice, type: /notice nick message
