CHAPTER 9
"One can't belong"
It was 12:30pm, when all BSB,( except Nick) Rimma, Alsie and Leighanne were sitting in the big tour bus and going to the Carter mansion. It was rather hot and everybody seemed to be half asleep.
"Jeez... It's so hot here! The first thing I'll do - I'll jump into the pool" - said Rimma.
"Yeah... That's a great idea. It'll be cool" - added Leighanne.
Alsie was sitting next to bus window and looked at the changeable scenery. All she could think about was Nick and... Franky. Alsie built a plan, how to get Nick back. She was worried that Nick wouldn't even listen to her after all, she'd done to him.
"Hey Alsie! I gotta talk to you" - said Leighanne, turning to her. Alsie turned to Leighanne. Rimma stood up at this moment and headed to the fridge to have some food, left them alone.
"Sure, Leigh, whatever about?"
"Well... What's about to work as an actress?" - she lifted her eyebrow.
"For me?" - Alsie looked very surprised.
"Yeah... - Leighanne continued - I've got a contract, and I need a partner for film. What do you think?"
"Jeez... I've never ever acted!"
"That's your chance to try"
"And what role should I play?"
"Well... A bandit girl!" - Leighanne said, smiling.
"Haha - laughed Alsie - Sounds cool!"
"Well... then what?"
"I guess I'll try!"
"Deal! That's cool! We'll talk about it on Sunday and then go for audition on Monday, okay?"
"It'll be great!" - and girls smiled at each other.
"And how was she?" - asked Howie, smiling.
"She's the perfect one. She's cute, smart, sensitive... - Kevin smiled - Well... She's got everything!"
"Yeah... And she's got you already!" - AJ joked.
"Well... not yet... But... she has a success in that field!" - Kevin joked, smiling.
"What's her name, by the way?" - asked Brian.
"Emma... - answered Kevin - and she's a designer in one firm"
"How did ya meet?" - asked Brian, guys seemed to be very interested in Kevin's deal.
"Well... my mom wanted to replace some furniture in our living room... She called to that firm... well... and she came"
"How sweet!" - said in sarcastic tone Howie.
"Shut up!" - Kevin looked at him and laughed.
"What are you planning to do with her?" - asked AJ.
"I'm gonna kill her - was kidding Kevin - Well... First I must get back to Lexington, then I'll see what to do"
"Well... what's her address? Maybe I'll make it for you a little bit hot!" - joked Howie.
Everybody looked at him and laughed out loud.
"Oh Hello... How I'm glad to see you all" - Jane Carter smiled at the new coming company.
"Hello Mrs.Carter. I hope we won't disturb you" - said Kevin for all.
"Oh... Kevin... of course no! Me and Bob with twins and Leslie are going to our mansion in Miami for a weekend"
"That's cool! I hope you'll have great rest" -said Brian.
"Hi, my Brian. How are you doing and how do your parents doing?"
"They are all right! Thanks. I'm also as well" - Brian laughed.
All company placed at the hall sofas in mansion. While they were talking and greeting each other Nick entered the hall.
"Yo! How's up?"
"Hey Frack! I missed you!" - said Brian and headed to Nick.
"You can't imagine how did I" - Nick hugged his best friend.
"Well... Nick. Show your guests theirs rooms and then get ready for the lunch, okay?"- said Jane.
"Yeah! Okay... Let's go, guys! - ordered Nick - Well... Oh... Hi Leighanne... by the way, your and Brian's room on the 2nd floor 3rd to the right"
"Let's go, Leigh!" - said Brian.
"Kev, with whom would you like to share the room?" - asked Nick.
"Well... I guess AJ is the only person who is free" - joked Kevin.
Everybody laughed. At this moment Rimma and Alsie entered the hall. Nick was shocked. "She's come! She's come!" - that was all he could think about.
"Hi Rimma - said Nick - Hello Alsie"
Alsie's heart was like crazy... the beat was like motor! She looked a little bit there.
"Hello Nick! How are you Mrs.Carter?"
"Well... Hello... - said Jane - Maybe you'll introduce me to that girls, Nick?"
"Oh... sure... - said Nick - Hmmm... That's Rimma Raymonds, as you know she's Howie's girlfriend"
"I've heard a lot about you, Rimma" - said Jane.
"I hope... good stuff" - said Rimma smiling.
"Yes of course!" - smiled Jane.
Nick turned to Alsie. Their eyes met and they felt kinda shock. Nick still saw the deep feelings into her eyes, and Alsie still noticed the loving light in his. They could hardly turned outta each other.
"This is Aleksandra Olson, mom - said Nick at last - she's the best dancer of "Todess"
"Nice to meet you, Mrs.Carter" - said Alsie.
"Nice to meet you too, Alsie - said Jane, smiling - as far as I know you're dancing with Nick"
"Yes. I do" - answered Alsie.
"Okay, Nicky... show the guests theirs rooms" - ordered Jane to her cute son.
Nick took a trip bag from Alsie's hands and said:
"C'mon guys! Let's go! - they headed to the 2nd floor.
"AJ, Kevin, Howie and Rimma - said Nick - you're coming to the 3rd floor. Your rooms are 3 rd and 4th to the left. Okay?"
"Surely" - echoed Kevin.
"Okay Alsie, come with me - said Nick - I'll show you the room"
They came to the big and well furnitured room. Alsie entered it and was amazed by the beautiful scenery of the ocean.
"Well... here you'll find the bath, shower... and so on" - said Nick.
"Yes! I know" - said Alsie. Theirs eyes met.
"And here you can find my room - said Nick quietly - It's opposite your room"
"Okay... thanks. I'll find the way anyway" - said Alsie.
"Okay... I better go... And... Als... I'm glad you're here" - he looked at her. After the minute of silence, Nick closed the door after him.
"I'm glad either" - spelled quietly Alsie.
"Come in, please, sit here" - Jane said to Alsie, who was entering the open air dining room.
Everybody stared at the beautiful girl. Alsie looked at everybody. She recognized funny looking Nick's young brother Aaron and his twin Angel, also she met with eyes of blonde Leslie, she smiled at cute BJ. Robert Carter smiled at her and showed her at the chair. Alsie sat and in that moment she glanced at Nick. He wore a blue T-shirt and it did harmony with his clear blue eyes. He looked so handsome. Nick smiled at her. But a minute later, when she turned outta Nick, she notice a cute blonde girl, who was sitting next to Nick and was staring at Alsie. It looked like she was studying Alsie.
"Alsie, meet our family friend - said Jane - Ms. Franceska Gallagher. Franceska? That's Aleksandra Olson or Alsie"
When they heard the name of each other, they stared at each other. "Damn, she's really cute and looks like angel" - thought Alsie. "She's beautiful, even kinda exotic" - thought Franky.
"Nice to meet you, Alsie - began Franky - are you a dancer of Nick?"
"Nice to meet you too, Franceska - answered Alsie - I'm not Nick's dancer, I dance with him"
They smiled at each other with theirs mysterious smiles. Nick felt kinda confuse. A minute of silence shared the dining room. After that Nick quickly said:
"You better eat faster. We're gonna to the beach after lunch"
He was manage to make a normal atmosphere. Everybody turned to theirs plates and soon laugh, smiles and chatting were heard from the room.
When the Carters were gone, everybody headed to the beach. It was cool weather for swimming or sunbathing and sun was shining brightly, that's why the mood of everybody was up.
"Nicker, I hope you'll sail me over the ocean?" - asked in a sweetie voice Franky. Alsie heard it but didn't show that she noticed it.
"Sure Franky. It's cool weather today to sail to the middle of the ocean and swimming there" - answered Nick.
"Well... I think you'll get everybody on board" - supposed in a kidding voice Kevin.
"Yeah, sure. We'll go for sailing altogether"
"That'll be cool! I've never ever sail" - exclaimed Rimma.
"That's not so cool, as you think! - said Leighanne - I've got sea-sick every time I'm on board the yacht"
"Well... I'm sure I won't have" - said Rimma, smiling.
Alsie was going to the beach in silence. She thought about herself how to deal with Nick and Franky. She was making a plan, her old one was failed, cause Alsie didn't think Franky's such a cutie. But she has one main happy point - it seemed like Nick still has something to her. And it cheered her up.
"Alsie... will you sail with us?" - asked Nick, and looked at her.
"I donno... - began Alsie, but Rimma hit her, and she added - Sure I will"
Franky looked at her with an angry glance, like a snake. Alsie smiled at her sarcastic. It happened that the rest, except Nick, cause he found out that he'd lost the keys from yacht at home, were going in front of girls, so Alsie and Franky were heading to the beach alone close to each other. For a minute they kept silence, but then Franky said:
"You know... I was Nick's girlfriend"
"I know" - simply answered Alsie.
"Well... I mean we love each other"
"No... You loved, but not love" - smiled Alsie.
"You know... I don't wanna spoil the relationships between me and you cause of Nick, let's be friends" - said Franky. Alsie stared at her.
"What? I can't believe you're talking this"
"But it'll be cool, really - smiled Franky - the one thing I want from you is just get outta Nick... and our friendship will last forever"
Alsie laughed out loud.
" Are you kidding? Why do you think I came here?"
Franky kept silence, staring at Alsie.
"I'm gonna win Nick again"
"You won't be able. He loves me" - said Franky.
"Yes... He loved you, Loved! But not loves. Now you're outta his life, you're in the past" - said Alsie.
They were arguing so hard, that they didn't notice Nick who was walking behind them.
"Nick needs me, he doesn't understand it, but he does need" - said Franky.
"You're impressing me with every word. Do you really think Nick needs you?"
"I just wanna say Nick's mine" - said Franky angrily.
"He's such yours like mine. But... I guess mine is much more" - Alsie said in a merry sarcastic voice.
"I don't belong to anyone, besides, I'm not a thing to decide for me" - they heard the voice.
"Nicker..." - began Franky.
"Shut up - said Nick to Franky - And I haven't expected that from you" - he turned to Alsie, and she felt herself the most miserable, guilty creature of the world. She was ashamed of the words she'd said. Nick turned from them and ran to the beach. He felt the offense at Franky, but at Alsie most of all. He couldn't explain why, but he did feel that feeling.
"Oh... That's so cool! I feel like being in paradise" - said Rimma in a sweet happy voice.
"You won't feel now" - said Howie, lifted Rimma up and while everybody was laughing at him, he threw Rimma outta board to the water.
"You're crap, Howie!" - yelled angrily Rimma, when she appeared after being under the water.
"What did you say?" - laughed Howie and dived to Rimma.
After that Kevin, AJ and BJ did the same. Brian and Leighanne stayed at the beach, cause of Leigh's sickness.
"The water is wonderful! - said BJ - Alsie, Franky... Join!"
Alsie put off her bermudas and top, and after that she dived really beautiful in the water. At that moment Nick was in amazement of her jumping. Franky got closer to him.
"Are you angry at me Nicker?"
"No"
"Why then you keep ignoring me?" - she began to play with his shoulder by her finger.
"Don't... - said Nick and put away her hand - Just bad mood, Franceska"
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry about that, okay? You know what I mean"
"That's Okay, I've already forgotten about that" - said Nick and out off his shirt.
After 5 seconds he was in water with everybody. Alsie noticed he kept ignoring her and Franky kept watching them from board.
"Jeez... It was actually the best rest day of my life!" - said Rimma, sitting in the armchair under the star sky on board the yacht.
"Yeah... It's cool to have such a rest from our hot schedule" - added AJ.
"Cool Cool Cool" - sang Howie.
Nick was standing on the board and was watching at the ocean, on it's waves and water where the night sky was reflecting. He didn't think about anything, he just enjoyed by his loneliness with ocean.
"Nick..." - he heard the quiet voice. He turned at her but said nothing.
"Nick I just wanna apologize..." - Alsie began.
"You don't have to... Anyway I get used to"
"Nick! Stop ignoring me!"
"And what should I do then?"
"Talk to me"
"I'm talking..." - he said. Alsie took a pause, then said:
"Nick I wanna sorry that I treated you like being a thing, and that I yelled at you the last time we were dating. I was crazy, and I did the biggest mistake in my life. I didn't listen to you"
"Yes you didn't - nodded Nick - You hurt me, Alsie"
"But that was not only my fault!"
"Okay... I confess it... but you could just to listen to my explanations, but you didn't do that!"
"What do you want from me now? I did ask you to forgive me" - Alsie almost yelled.
"Okay... You may go now" - Nick still felt the offense at her. She said:
"Well... at least I see that you don't love me... If you do... you won't treat me like that!"
"Yeah... And how should I treat you?"
"You must firstly felt it, it's hard to explain" - said Alsie.
"Well... I can feel nothing now. Nothing! Only emptiness"
Congratulations! You're phony slob, Nick Carter!" - Alsie felt the offense also and tuned away and headed to the company. Nick hit the wall as strong as he could.
