Chapter 4

The Bitch had robbed him while he was gone, he thought as he looked through the wallet. He had only been gone for a few minutes when he realized his wallet was not in the car. He counted his money, as he sat on a stool at a diner. She had left him enough to last a few days. Maybe he could get this meal for free, he thought, as he winked at the waitress.

The waitress smiled at him, as she made the coffee. He looked dangerous, she thought. Wild, and maybe more. It sent shivers down her spine. He was just her type of man, she thought as she went over to talk to him.

----------------------------

Josephine sat in her hotel room and stared at the TV lost in thought. She had been in Tampa a day now, and she hadn't left the comforts of her room. She wasn't quite ready to confront her friends. She had left so many months before without even a good-bye to any of her dear friends. Would they even consider her a friend anymore?

She had driven by her old work place, but found that it had been sold. The old owners had moved on to bigger and better places. She had to find her friends. She desperately needed to tell them danger was coming their way.

-----------------------

Michelle stood outside the arena in Boston and waited for Amy to arrive. There was a slight chill in the air, and she wished she had put on a jacket. She had tried to call Amy for the past two days, but had missed her everytime. Beth had called her, and she wasn't quite sure what she was rambling through her sobs. Something about Amy and Jeff together. She hopped that she didn't hear Beth right, Michelle thought

Kurt walked up behind her and put an arm around her waist. "You find what you're looking for?" He asks with a laugh.

"No." She replies and stares at Chris as he passes in his car.

-------------------

Chris stares at Kurt and Michelle, and almost hits the security guard at the entrance gate. He smiles, and the guard passes him through. Had Michelle and Kurt gotten back together, he wondered? No, she couldn't have, she wasn't that stupid, he thought as he pulled his luggage out of his car.

-----------------

Michelle watched as Chris walked into the arena, without even so much as a wave to her. She knew he saw her.

"I have to go back in. I have to call Katie." Kurt said, of his wife.

Michelle felt his arms pull away from her, and she almost screamed. Chris had seen him with his arms around her. That's why he didn't even so much as look at her. Kurt couldn't have his cake and eat it too. She made a vow to herself, to never let Kurt touch her again.

----------------------------

Teresita looked through the legal papers that Adam and Rachel had gotten drawn up. "Rachel, I can't do this. This is your baby, your company."Teresita says, and hands Rachel the papers back.

"I just can't do it anymore 'T'. The stress is not good for me. I could take it before, but not now." Rachel says, as Adam takes her hand. "If it's how much I am asking for it, let me know."

"No, you know it's not the money. I just can't take what you worked for all these years and keep it for myself." Teresita says, as Rachel puts the papers back in front of her.

"I'll take two per cent of the company. Please, 'T', if you don't take it, I am just going to sell it to someone else." Rachel says, and hands Teresita a pen.

"OK, OK. Two per cent is better than nothing. I would hate for you to go off and sell your half to someone like Meri." Teresita says laughing. They shake hands, officially sealing the deal. " What are you doing here, shouldn't you be getting ready to wrestle??" Teresita asks Adam.

"It wasn't in the script." Adam says with a smile.

Keith lay in rumpled sheets, next to the waitress from the greasy diner. She lay with a leg across him, and stared at him as his gaze stared steady at the ceiling.

"More." She says, as she pulls herself on top of him.

He pushes her off to get up and take a shower. "More?" He asks, as he stops at the dresser where the needle lay. He walks over to the bed, and shoots her up with Heroine.

"Your turn." She giggles, as he puts the needle down and walks into the bathroom.

Heroine was not his drug of choice, the thought, as he pulled out a small vile of cocaine. He copped up a line with a broken mirror and snorted it through a one dollar bill. He walks back into the room and watches as the woman lays half covered on the bed.

"I need some money." Keith says, as he starts to go through her purse. Forget the shower, he had to leave now.

"What are you doing, where are you going?" She says, as he watches Keith walk towards the door to the motel room. "I want some more." She says, as she throws the sheet off of her.

"You've had enough." Keith says, as he takes the needle and drugs and puts them in his bag. "Go to sleep, I'll be back."

He picks up his keys, and leaves the woman behind. With the money from her purse, he had more than he really needed. He looked in his rearview mirror at the motel, until it was nothing but a speck.

------------------------------------

The WWF was going to be in Boston two nights in a row. It had sold out in fifteen minutes for Raw, so Vince decided to make Smackdown there also.

Albert and Paul Levesque lived in that area, so they decided to each keep full houses Monday night. It was nice to stay in some place other than a motel room, Matt thought as he threw his cloths on the floor to take a shower.

At four in the morning Jeff roamed Albert's house unable to sleep. All he could think of was Beth. He had tried to call her dozens of times. He hoped Trendi was giving her his messages. He made himself a glass of water as he stood in the kitchen.

"Jeff?" Albert said from another room.

"Yeah." Jeff said, as he walked into his study. The computer was on, and Beth was online.

"You want to talk to her?" He asks, as he clicks on her name.

"If she knows it is me, she won't speak. She'd probably log off." Jeff says as he sits in front of the computer.

"Just pretend you are me." Albert says, and leaves the room.

"Hi 'B'." Jeff writes, but then goes back and changes it to Beth before he sends the message.

"Hi Albert, how are you?" Beth asks.

"Fine. Have you talked to Jeff lately?" Jeff asks, just to see what she would say.

"Jeff?" She asks.

"Are you still there?" Jeff asks, hoping he didn't frighten her away.

"Yes, still here. Tell Jeff I am OK. He is free to do what he wants with Amy." Beth replies.

"He doesn't want Amy, he wants you." Jeff types back at her. "He told me so, could you give him another chance?"

"He told you so...Really?" Beth asks.

Jeff didn't know if she was being sarcastic or if she was really asking a question.

Andrew walked into the room and watched the conversation take place.

"I thought I could trust Jeff, turns out he was just like David." Beth says, biting into Jeff's heart.

"I'm not..." He stops and erases what he wrote. " He's not like David. Trust me. I know Jeff. I know Amy, and Jeff isn't the one she wants."

"Albert, I gotta go." She says, and quickly logs off.

He stars at the computer screen and starts to cry.

"I think you should go find her. If you love her that much, go get her back." Andrew says, and puts a hand on his shoulder to comfort him.

---------------------------------------

Beth laid in her bed awake, waiting for sunlight to make it's way into her window. She had been having restless nights ever since she had seen Amy in Jeff's bed. She was so tired of heartache, she thought. What if Albert was right, and nothing happened. But, what if....

"Beth, are you awake?" Trendi asked her as she came into her room. "I thought I heard someone in the other room.

"Yeah. I just laid down. I was talking to Albert on the computer." Beth says, as she lays on her side looking at her friend.

"It's five in the morning! I know someone that isn't going to school."Trendi says laughing.

Beth pulls the blanket over here head, and willed the night to last forever.

-------------------------

Josephine walked up to her old friends house and knocked on the door. Her heart skipped a beat when another familiar face answered the door. "Is Michelle home?" She asks the other woman.

"No, but she might be home in a few days."Meri responds, as she looks curiously at the woman in front of her. "Say, have we met before?"

Josephine starts laughing as Fear runs up to her and starts licking her hand. "Well, you might want to sit down for what I have to say, but first you have to let me in." She says with a chuckle.

Meri looks at her confused. "Michelle's OK isn't she??"

They walk into the house, and Meri sits on the couch.

"She's fine, but I am here to warn her that danger is headed her way." Josephine says.

"Oh, are you one of those Psychics??" Meri asks, with her eyes wide with wonder.

"Meri, it's me RICHARD." Josephine says, as Meri continues to stare at him.

"Oh my God!" She yells and drops her juice to the floor. "I think I am going to faint."

Same old Meri, he thinks as he sits next to her.

--------------------------------------

Lily lay next to Matt and watched as he slept. She wondered if she should wake him. Everyone else was already awake and getting ready for the day. She brushed a tangle of hair away from his face, so she could kiss his cheek.

"Amy." He mumbles and roles over.

Amy? He still has her on his mind, she thought? She gets out of bed with tears in her eyes. He's mine, not hers. She stared at him as she dressed. What else could she do to make him forget about Amy, she wondered.

She was hungry, maybe she would think of something while she ate. She walked into the kitchen finding her brother, Paul and Chuck around the table eating.

"Hi." She says, as she puts on a smile for them. Chuck pulls out a chair next to him for her to sit.

"You want some bacon and eggs." Says Sean as he plays chef.

"Or cereal." Chuck says, as he puts a box of Lucky Charms in front of her.

"Oh, a man after my own heart." She says, as she pours herself a bowl of Lucky Charms.

Chuck smiles at her, and puts a spoon fool of cereal in his mouth. He decided today was the day to start on his and Michelle's little deal. It would be easy, he liked her well enough.

"Where is Matt?" Sean asks, as he puts his plate on the table.

"Asleep." Lily responds, as Paul's girlfriend walks into the kitchen.

"I saw Matt last night, with no Amy. Where is she? They are usually stuck like glue." Marie says laughing.

Sean and Chuck stifle laughter as Lily looks down into her bowl of cereal.

"He's here with me." Lily says quietly.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Marie says blushing.

Lily stares at her for a moment, and then leaves the room.

Chuck picks up her bowl, and goes off to find her. She hadn't taken a single bite, and he knew she was hungry.

--------------------

Michelle listened to the motel phone ring, not moving to answer it. Kurt had come by to bring her a few of her things that he still had.

"Are you going to answer it?" Kurt asked, as she pushed the phone towards him. "Hello?" He asked as he answered it. "She's asleep....call back in an hour." He hangs up the phone and continues talking to Michelle.

"Well, who was that?" Michelle asks, as she pulls the covers around her.

"Chris." Kurt replies.

"Damn, Kurt I wanted to talk to him." Michelle said, and picked up the phone to call him back.

Kurt shrugged and sat watching as she dialed his number.

---------------------

Chris sat the phone on the bed with the phone off the hook. He lay back in his bed and stare at the ceiling. "I am so stupid!! I should have talked to her when I had the chance." He says, as he starts to laugh.

He sighed, as he dialed Tommy's phone number. He felt like getting away to the country again, this time by himself. The conversation lasted only minutes. Tommy was happy he was coming out again, and he had someone he wanted Chris to meet.
