Hypnotic

Shadow stood on the porch watching as the rain fell across the field. She had not played in rain in years she thought. She pulled off her shoes and stepped out from under the shelter of the house. She ran through the field, almost to the trees. She didn't think it would hurt being out there in the rain.

"Shadow." A voice whispered in the rain.

She turned in circles half expecting to see Dwayne trying to hide from her. She walked to the edge of the forest, and peered through the trees to see if she could see anyone.

"Shadow." The voice whispered a few feet off to her side.

She turned too look, and still didn't see anyone. "Who's there??" She said, as her feet took her into the forest. She almost felt as if she didn't have any control over her feet at, as she stepped on pine cones and sticks. Her feet started to bleed as she stepped on a thorny branch, but she didn't feel it.

"Shadow" The voice said again, as if it were coming from above her.

"Where are you? Quit playing games." She said, still walking further into the woods.

"Close your eyes." The voice whispered.

She sighed, and closed her eyelids that already felt as if they were filled with led. She felt as if someone had put a hand on her back and was pushing her forward. Another hand was pulling at her hair. She opened her eyes quickly to see who was there, but she was alone.

"Where are you?" She asked in confusion. She started to shiver in the rain, and she began to regret she even decided to play in it.

"Close your eyes.." the voice said again.

She closed her eyes, and the sensation came upon her again. This time she felt she was sucked through a void, just as before. She let herself go with it, there was nothing she could do to escape it at that point. It wasn't as violent this time though, it was if she was picked up and then put back down.

A hand caressed her cheek.

"Open your eyes." The voice said.

She opened her eyes to see she was in a warm room, and she was standing in front of a fire place. She was also dry with fresh clothes on. She turned around to view the rest of the room, and came face to face with Sargatanis.

---------

Jessica stood in the middle of the first room she could enter. It was a bedroom, and it was freezing. The sun was coming through the curtains, and yet....She walked over and opened the curtains even more, hoping to let some heat in.

She closed her eyes and tried to imagine how the room would have looked way back when it was Grand. She opened her eyes to look out the window, but when she did the room had changed. She was also no longer alone.

She must be dreaming she thought, as the other woman in the room reached up and slapped her. The sting felt real, yet she could not open her mouth to speak. Her eyes fell to the view out the window, she had the sudden urge to throw herself out the window.. would it be a quick death.

No dream had ever been this vivid, she thought. She could not control her emotions as tears flowed down her cheaks. It frightened her that there could ever be a sadness this overwelming. She turned to see broken fragments of mirror on the floor. Jessica stared at the other person in the room, a woman, with hatred in her heart. It wasn't hatred for the woman, but for herself.

Jessica closed her eyes again, wishing this vision would leave her. She opened them againe, finding herself alone.

"I must be tired." She said as she waisted no time in leaving the room.

-----

Shadow stared at Sargatanis with wonder more than anything else. She backed away from him, as his eyes followed her every move. He was beautiful, and yet horrid at the same time.

"Are you afraid of me?" He asked her as he held onto one of her hands and pulled her to him.

She breathed in his scent, at first thinking she would take in only his stench. She sighed, but could not speak. She didn't trust her own voice. How could he affect her this way??

"I can see myself in you, an outcast." He said, as he touched her cheak again with his fingers. "You are disliked for who you are, what you are. I've had time to think things through, and I think that I like you. Yes....I do. You are strong, stronger than Anna could ever be." He said as he kissed her lips.

She found herself kissing him back, and liking it almost. It was almost gentle, as if he meant it. If it wouldn't have been him, it could have been a lovers kiss. She had to get away from him, she had to be strong.

He pulled away from her, and walked to the bed. He stared at her as he started to undress. Her feet not her own, guided her to stand in front of him. She helped him undress, as her mind started to cloud.

"My darling Indian..."He said and kissed her neck.

A door slammed from somewhere, and it brought her from her haze.

------

Jessica stared at the huge bed in the next room she unlocked. It looked so inviting, and she was tired. She crawled into it, and under the covers. Closing her eyes, she started to fall asleep just as before.

The dream came quickly, but this time she lay naked by the man from the picture. Sargatanis it was, she thought. He was smiling at her as he kissed her neck and started to work his way down.

Her hands dug deep into his dark mass of hair. At that moment, Puck was nothing but a memory. She shivered as he did things no one had ever done to her before. Her hands grasped at something to hold on to, their lips met in a lovers kiss. She raced her nails down his back, leaving welt marks. She was weak with desire, she had never felt this way before.

------

Shadow stared at him with clearer thoughts. "I am too strong for you! " She said through clenched teeth. " YOU will not use me!! Get off!!" She pushed him away and fell to the floor. "Kill me if you must, but I will not bare you a child." She said as she looked back to the bed. He was not alone, there was another woman already in her place. Blond hair, and groaning with desire. Sargatanis smiled at Shadow, and suddenly she felt rain again.

She stood at the edge of the forrest with the cold wet clothes on. She wondered how long she had been standing there. Her heart pounded in her chest as she ran back to the mansion. She couldn't get there fast enough as she saw Dwayne walk onto the porch.

"DWAYNE!!" She yelled.

He stood and watched her as she fell onto the steps.

"We have to stop HIM?" Shadow said starting to cry.

Chester and the others streamed out onto the porch.

"What happened, are you ok?" Dwayne asked, as he carried her onto the porch and put her in a chair.

"Where was he?" Chester asked.

"In the woods. I was playing in the rain..."Shadow said, as she let her words trail off.

You heard his voice?"Sharlette asked her. "This is his rain, do not answer the whispers." She said as she watched the drizzle. "It's almost hypnotic isn't. Sargatanis never likes to play fair." She said as she walked back in the house.

"You said his name." Puck said as he followed her back in the house.

"Let him come. It's about time he faces me again." She said as Puck closed the door.

--------

Jessica held on to Sargatanis, as she screamed in lust. She opened her eyes to see she was alone. She looked around the room, it was empty. She started to laugh, it had sure felt real. Maybe if she closed her eyes the dream would come back, she thought.

"Jessica??" A breathless Bryce entered the room. "Are you ok?? You were screaming!"

"I'm fine, I'm fine. She says, and then rolls off the bed.

"Nightmare?" He asked.

"Believe me, it wasn't a nightmare." Jessica says laughing as she walks past him. She turned to look back into the room before he shut the door. She could almost smell the faint sent of sex lingering in the room.
