Mr. Mucci's 4/5 Multi-Age Writing Page

Teaching writing is one of my passions. This is pretty ironic, considering I was not a very good writer throughout high school and well into college. In fact, when I look back on some articles I had written while working for some VERY SMALL newspapers in the Tampa Bay area, I cringe at what I once wrote.

We have spent a good deal of time on writing already this year. The kids have written three Show, Don't Tell descriptive writing pieces and are working on their fourth. The past two weeks, we have really been focusing on the components of a good essay. The first link below has been added to help you support your children as they write at home. This is the paper we went over in class. It is a PDF file, so you can print it. I will be adding more to this page as the year goes on.
