Mr. Ronald Ashcraft, 66 year old Writ Writer, has serious health problems, including a damaged heart. He has named Capt. A. Coleman, and others in many grievances. His attorney, Margaret Gold, has informed everyone - including the governor - that the officers have been putting tremendous stress on Mr. Ashcraft and everyone concerned, except the DOC, fears for his life.Jan 29, 2001: Letter to Margaret Gold, Attorney at Law, Ashcraft details retaliation for writing grievances against Capt. Coleman. Charges against Capt. Coleman and others include 'planting a shank', threatens of macing, deprivation of food, interruption of legal mail, stealing stamps, throwing away personal property, all of which Capt. Coleman calls "Management Tools" [See Attachment].
Capt. Coleman planted a knife [aka 'shank'] in the cell of Ronald's neighbor, Rexford Tweed, which throwdown sent Tweed to isolation (aka the 'hole'), where he is still being held today.
On December 18, 2000, Mr. Ashcraft had mild angina greatly associated with the stress Capt. Coleman and others have put on him. Atty. Gold wrote, "We need to do something for Mr. Ashcraft before we are faced with a tragedy which cannot be undone."
Furthermore, with the obvious numerous violations of the US Constitution, the Florida Statutes and the F. A. C, I cannot help but wonder if Ashcraft was even "considered "for the following as required in
Florida Statute 947.149(3)
The department shall identify inmates who may be eligible for conditional medical release based upon available medical information and shall refer them to the commission for consideration. It appears clear that Ashcraft meets the definition as provided in
(a) "Permanently incapacitated inmate," which means an inmate who has a condition caused by injury, disease, or illness which, to a reasonable degree of medical certainty, renders the inmate permanently and irreversibly physically incapacitated ......"Florida Statute 947.149(1)
or
(b) "Terminally ill inmate," which means an inmate who has a condition caused by injury, disease, or illness which, to a reasonable degree of medical certainty, renders the inmate terminally ill to the extent that there can be no recovery and death is imminent, ........"
and he should have at least been "considered", as required by law.
Oops, too late. Ronald Ashcraft had a heart attack Thursday, March 29, 2001. He was found unconscious in his cell, bleeding from a bitten tongue and from head wounds. He convulsed in the cell and again in the infirmary, which resulted in torn ligaments in his left leg and a pinched nerve in his back (Medical should have records).
Mr. Ashcraft is asking to take a lie detector test. Witness statements from Rex Tweed.

Since 1997, Rexford Tweed has averaged 80 days a year in the hole for filing grievances. He filed a lawsuit [Tweed v. Sistrunk, 697 S02d.888 (Fla App 5th Dist 1997)] while at Marion CI. He was quickly relocated to Madison CI, where harassment in the form of fake DRs continued. He is now in Okeechobee, where the duress has accelerated.
Capt. Coleman played with the mail and the notary until Tweed missed the deadline to file his paperwork. Surely Capt. Coleman goes above and beyond his duties for personal vendettas.
Tweed is now in protective custody, something he requested because of his fear of five guards.
F.A.C. (Florida Administrative Code) Chapter 33-103.017
No action shall be taken against an inmate as the result of the submission of a grievance or appeal..."
