A Better Place *
When we lose someone we love
We know they'll be waiting up above
To greet us when we too pass on
Though some here will say we're simply gone
We have to believe there's a better place
Where every one will know our face
Where things like origin, sex, and race
Won't matter, they won't have a place
It will matter naught what flag we flew
Or whatever strife that we went through
We will all be the same in that place on high
We'll all be together bye and bye
So we should not mourn or grieve
When someone we love is forced to leave
But it's only the natural thing to do
We're only human me and you
It's normal to have doubt and fear
But the One who placed us here
Has promised us His saving grace
And made for us a better place

Losing A Friend *
Hello to you, my cherished friend
It seems that we have reached the end
of everything that we have known
That friendship, once so quickly grown
has lately seemed to wilt and die
It makes me think that maybe I
have hurt you with a careless word
Or maybe something you have heard
from someone else has made you see
I'm not the one I seemed to be
If that's the case then you should not
let others tell you what you've got
If you would only come to me
then maybe I could make you see
There is no need to go away
and maybe I could make you stay
'Cause if you leave , there'll be a space
with no one else to take your place
So, hello to you, my cherished friend
I hope that this is not the end
