“Oh, I was so nervous!” Nick exclaimed.
“That was obvious!” AJ joked.
“Doesn’t matter! I’m coming anyway!” I smiled at this.
“Does Jessie still want a pass?” Brian asked.
“Yep!” I had forgotten all about Jessie.
“Then I think we can get her one!”
“Cool!!”
“It’s 8:20, what do you guys wanna do?” AJ asked.
“If no one’s at the park, do you wanna’ go play some b-ball, Frick?” Nick asked Brian.
“Sure Frack!” Brian replied. We all walked over to the park nearby. Nobody was there. There was a ball lying on the ground so they used it. All the BSB were happy to take off their hats and sunglasses. When Nick started losing, I jumped up and started cheering.
“Go! Go! Fight! Fight!
Gee, I hope I look alright!
Nick sure does and you know why?
He’s the coolest finest guy!”
(I KNOW it’s really dumb but it’s supposed to be!)
Nick blushed but tried harder. Still, Brian beat him. Nick grumbled and I ran up to to him and wrapped my arms around his waist.
“I’ll play you,” I said softly.
“You’re on girl! A victory should lift my spirits!” He declared.
“But you won’t win!” I shot back.
We were in a heated game when I tripped over Nick just as he was about to shoot. I knocked him over with me and I fell on top of him. We lay there staring at each other. He reached his head up and kissed me. We kissed for awhile before AJ finally yelled, “Get a room!” We laughed and got up.
Suddenly Nick grabbed the ball and sunk a basket.
“Come on guys, let’s do something else! Any ideas?” Brian complained. Nick had one. He came over to me.
“Gimme a piggy-back ride!” I whined at him. He bent over and I got on his back. Then he ran around with me holding on laughing. He put me downand we went back to the hotel.
