Umi (short for Ukanamay) is the female of Strata. She is a bright young girl with a hopeful outlook towards everything. As a fighter, she works very hard, yet she will give her life energy to someone in need, which makes her weak and puts her at risk. Umi is anything but selfish, she can only think about others, especially Rowen, who she has fallen madly in love with. At times it is hard for Umi to communicate clearly because she speaks in third person with a semi-high pitched voice. But Rowen, being the great guy he is, has begun teaching her to speak in first person like everyone else. She is brave deep inside, and lets her enemies know it. Her two drawbacks are that she doesn't know her last name, because she has been an orphan all her life, and she just can't seem to stay calm.
