March 25...
Good morning. We woke up at 5:45 a.m. We ate breakfast at the hotel. Rehearsal started at 9:00. It was supposed to be until 12:00 but noooooo it cut into our lunchtime and we got out at 12:30. So we all got food at the Amish Market (waaay cool. it's like a supermarket and a buffet and all that stuff). We really need one in Florida. I had some time to hang out with my New York family (my grandparents and my aunt). My parents and my sister were there too. My sister gave me a rose! She's so sweet! Then we had to go back to rehearsal from 2:00 t0 5:00. Unfortunately...the elevator was like non-accessable. So Marah and I climbed the 26 flights of stairs (and almost died on the way lol). Then our chorus was off for another night in New York. We went back on the subway... We visited Rockafeller Center. One day I want to go ice skating there. Then we went to Saks 5th Avenue. They are sooooo expensive. Marah and I were looking and weird looking cowboy hats...which were like $500! Then we tried on makeup from the different makeup counters. Ana bought a bunch of makeup and Marah and I got free mascara from the Clinique counter. After that we all went across the street to St. Patrick's Cathedral. That place is HUGE. And it's so pretty. Then we made our was to Planet Hollywood for dinner. We couldn't go to FAO Schwarz though cause it had closed already (man! I wanted a stuffed animal). Planet Hollywood is too cool. The guy told us to line up in front of the tree things. They were fake palm trees lol. My dinner was some kind of chicken. It was kinda funky. It was like dissecting. Dessert was...triple layer chocolate cake! When we got out of the restaurant we discovered...that it was raining. And we had all left our umbrellas in the hotel. So we made our way to the subway in the rain. We then went to the Empire State Building. It was weird cause we saw my old math teacher (in NY of all places). What else? Well we sang kid songs (like Old McDonald)in line and people were like "Um..." We were making jokes about falling elevators and then freaking out when the elevators shook. The top of the Empire State Building was sooooo windy (and cold). New York is really pretty at night from the view on the Empire State Building. After that we were on our way back to the subway...and we almost got hit by cars. Our teachers were not happy. Then we had a whole ordeal with the Metro Card machines in the subway. BUT we finally made it back to the hotel (and no, we didn't have to wait for the elevators...I heard that they got stuck while one choir was using them). I was in my room and asleep instantly.
