Never Judge a Book By Its Cover
Chapter 1

"I can't believe we're actually in Florida! And Orlando on top of that! You know, Brian, Howie, and Kevin from the Backstreet Boys live here! What if we see them? What would I do? What would I say?" said my friend, Erika anxously.
"Look Erika, I hate to burst your little bubble here, but I could seriously care less where those people live! I wouldn't get my hopes up anyway. We're staying with my uncle! I'm sure none of them would live anywhere near him," I said.
Erika was my best friend, but she was also way overly obsessed with the Backstreet Boys. One time she said to me "You know what Kaitlyn? If Nick Carter told me he'd love me forever if I killed you...I would." That was my first sign that she was headed to Charter Glade. I seriously think that mental hospitals should have a special "Backstreet Boys Anonymous" support group for people like her. I personally, didn't like them. I thought that their music was decent compared to other "boy bands" out there, but I was more into the alternative kind of music.
"Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn! I'm telling you, when you have Brian Littrell eating out of the palm of your hand, you'll understand what I'm talking about," she retorted.
"Yeah, that might happen! I might ever want to be within speaking distance of one of them!"
"You know deep down inside you love them just as much as I do. You're just to cool to admit it."
"Yeah and pigs fly!" I said pulling into the driveway of my uncle's house. As soon as we were out of the car, my uncle was outside greeting us.
"Hey there Katie! How ya been?" asked my uncle. I cringed when he called me "Katie" I hated that name!
"Hi Uncle Kaleb! I'm great! How about you?"
"I'm good! And you must be Miss Erika, correct?" he said noticing Erika standing there looking around the neighborhood.
"That would be me! Nice to meet you, sir," she said extending her hand for him to shake.
"Call me Kaleb!" he said shaking her hand. "Now let's get you 2 inside! I'm sure you're dying to go scope out Orlando!"
Erika, and I followed Kaleb into his house. It was pretty big for just one person to live in. 3 rooms to be exact. He showed us all around his house and showed us our seperate rooms.
"This concludes our tour for today. Please keep your hands and arms inside the tram until the tram comes to a complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day at Disney World," he said as he ended the tour. My uncle gave tours at Disney. Erika and I started cracking up.
"That was cool, U.K.! Thanks! Your house is awesome!" (U.K. stands for Uncle Kaleb. That's what I called him for short.)
"You're welcome! Well ladies, I'm having some friends over tonight so if you'll excuse me, I have to get the house cleaned up a little. Make yourselves at home!" he said running off to the living room. Kaleb wasn't very old. He was only about 10 years older then me, making him about 30, maybe a little younger. Needless to say, he was the youngest one of my mom's siblings. Erika and I turned and smiled at each other then ran up to our rooms to unpack.
