Chapter 2

***2 hours later***

I finally had everything in my room the way I wanted it, so I decided to go see how Erika was doing. I walked down the hall and into her room. Her Backstreet Boys cd was blaring as always and she was setting a picture up of Nick next to her bed.
"Erika?" I said as I walked in. She couldn't hear me over the stereo. "Erika," I repeated louder. I rolled my eyes and walked over to her stereo and turned off her music.
"Hey! That was the best part!" she whined.
"Every part is the best part to you!"
"So?"
"You're impossible!"
"What'd you turn it off for anyway?" she asked adjusting another picture of Nick on the dresser. Her room scared me. Everywhere you looked, there was Nick, staring at you. I thought it was kind of creepy, but she didnt seem to mind to much.
"Oh, I wanted to see if you wanted to go cruise down by the beach and look for hot guys."
"Sure! Maybe Brian's there!"
"I thought you liked Nick?"
"I love Nick, but he lives in Ruskin. Brian, Howie, and Kevin live here."
"Maybe I should be taking notes..."
"Shut up! Lemme just put on my bathing suit real quick and I'll be right downstairs to meet you."
"Your bathing suit?"
"Yeah, in case we decide to go in the water."
"Okay. I guess I'll put mine on too then. See ya!" I said leaving the room.

***10 minutes later***

Erika and I were in our silver Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible, that we had rented, on our way down to the beach. I had on my holographic bikini with a pair of cut-off jeans and a black tanktop. My long, straight brown hair was pulled back into a messy bun. Erika had on her flourescent flower-print bikini on with a pair of shorts and a light blue tanktop. Her wavy blonde hair was also pulled into a loose bun. "Please Kaitlyn? Just one song, come on!" Erika urged. She wanted to listen to her Backstreet Boys cd, but I was perfectly happy listening to "Mouth" by Bush on the radio.
"I said no! Gavin is speaking! Maybe later like at my funeral or something...but not while Gavin's singing!" I was in love with Gavin from Bush. I didn't love him half as much as Erika loved Nick, however.
"That was Bush with "Mouth" and now here's a new one from Orlando's own Backstreet Boys. It's called "All I Have to Give" said the announcer over the radio.
"YES!!!!!" exclaimed Erika as she reached to turn it up.
"Erika come on! This music is so whiny it's not even funny!" I said trying to turn it off.
"You touch the radio, you die!" she said as we pulled up at a red light.
"Fine."
Erika started looking around as she sang. She nonchalantly looked into the window of the car next to us. She smiled at the guy who was looking at us and laughing.
"What the hell is that guys problem?" I asked when she turned back around.
"I don't know, but he sure is cute!" said Erika looking at the guy again. She turned around and faced me. She looked as though her eyes were about to pop out of her head.
"What's your problem?" I asked still sitting at that stupid red light.
"Oh my God! I know you're going to think that I'm just insane, but that guy in the car next to us is Brian Littrell!"
"Brian who?"
"From the Backstreet Boys! Don't you listen to anything I say?"
"No," I said looking past Erika and at the guy in the car next to us. Erika pulled out her wallet and shoved a picture of him in my face. I looked at the picture and then back at the guy. "Wow. I think it is him."
"Gee don't sound so excited!"
"Well it's not my fantasy to meet them, it's yours!" I said. I looked at the guy once more before the light changed and I waved to him. He waved back, then sped off. I kept up right behind him. Erika was going to meet that guy if it was the last thing I did. Even though I couldn't stand them, she was my best friend, and she loved them, so I was going to force him to meet her if I had to!
