Concert Band
1999-2000
This year the Concert Band performed Bandology, Polyphonic Suite, and Variation Overature. We performed these pieces at Gainesville High School on March 11th for our FBA Concert Festival. This year we only recieved a rating of Excellent. We did however manage to achieve a Superior in sight-reading which came as quite a surprise.
1998-1999
Last year, the 1999 Concert Band season, the 24 piece DCHS Concert Band received a rating at our district festival in Gainesville, Florida. This rating gave us the opportunity to perform at the State Festival in Fort Walton Beach. It was the first for Dixie County since !!! If we weren't the only school to go to State on one bus, we were one of the very few who could. We played "The Dam Busters", "Sonatina for Band", and "Welsh Rhapsody".
