TWIGGY'S MEMORIES

This is a picture of an old style Korean House that were used a long time ago in Korea. If you were to go to Korea today, you would be hard pressed to find houses like this anymore (only in Theme Parks and Historical Sites would you find one like this now). Koreans now have homes much like you would find here in the United States with the same type of plumbing and kitchens.

This is me in my kitchen opening a soft drink bottle. We had a few friends over for a social event so I was getting ready to serve some refreshments.

I really enjoy working in my garden. I raise peppers, sesame plants, egg plant, onions, squash, pickles and spinach. These are some of the things that I like to eat and so, I raise them in my garden.

These are some of my friends that were over for my son's graduation party.

This is a picture of Buddy and Erma Bailey taken on their cruise to the Bahamas. Buddy has been the Median Adults Sunday School Teacher at my church for many years. He just recently gave it up due to health problems. Buddy and Erma have been friends of my family for a long time now.

This is my sister who's name is Padugi Yu. She lives in the Republic of South Korea. In this picture Padugi is with my son James when he was around five years old. This picture was taken after a friend of mine was married in Korea.

This is my my sister who's name is Padugi. Here she is wearing a traditional Korean Wedding Dress on the day that she got married in Songtan, Korea. Songtan is a city located just outside of the United States Osan Air Base Gate.

This is a picture of my sister Padugi and her husband on their wedding day. Padugi is wearing a traditional western style wedding dress in this picture.

This is a picture of my younger sister Coma, who is on the left with her husband and their two children. Coma and kids were visiting her husband in China. He got laid off of his job in Korea when the economy went bad, but found another one in China. But it sure makes him lonesome being there by himself, so my sister goes to visit him as much as they will let her.

This is my son James standing by the new Honda Civic that we gave to him after his graduation from High School. James is nineteen years old in this picture.

WHY DO FROGS CRY WHEN IT RAINS?

A long time ago, there was a mother frog that had a house full of baby frogs. When she would tell them to stay out of the mud, you would soon find all of them up to their eyes playing in the mud. When she told them not to climb trees, you could be sure that the next time you saw them they would be up in the trees. So, everything the mother frog told her children what not to do, they would always do the opposite.

As the mother frog was getting older she thought to herself, I would surely like to be buried on the hill side when I die. But if I tell my children that I want to be buried on the hillside, then they will surely bury me somewhere else.

So later she got her children together and told them that when she dies to bury her down near the river.

Well, the day finally came and the mother frog did indeed die. Then her children all got together and began to discuss where they were going to bury their mother. And they said to one another, "You know through out our mother's life we always did exactly the opposite of what she wanted us to do. Maybe this time we should do what she wanted instead of what we wanted."

So the mother frog's children took their mother and buried her down near the river as she had requested.

Soon after the mother frog was buried, a large hurricane with heavy rains came through the area, and it rained, and it rained. In fact it rained so much that it washed the mother frog's body out of her grave, down the river and into the open sea. And she was lost to her children forever.

So now everytime it rains, the baby frogs get thinking about their lost mother and in their grief they begin to cry.

So now you know why frogs cry everytime it rains.

In this picture we are attending a Holloween Party at Lee's Taekwondo Recreation Center in Panama City. I am on the left sitting, then sitting beside me in the middle is my husband "Andy" and on the right side of my husband is his brother "Dale". The one behind us in the star wars costume is Dr. Bruce Josten. James and my husband both studied and practiced the "ATA" Taekwondo here for over five years.

This is a picture of my son James as he was coming into the house. He sure is a big young man. Stands over 6 foot 3 inches tall. Takes that after his dad I would guess.
