razorhands

1997
Acrylic on canvas board
30" x 40"

Like many of these sort of paintings, they were created
during a time of extreme emotional duress.
I was pretty mad at the time, if I remember correctly.
I don't remember exactly what it was that made me mad
but I'm pretty sure it was about my divorce.
It is a kind of self portrait, the two sides of my personality represented.
The hands were not supposed to be razors, but it just came out that way
The name followed.

In the collection of Deborah Barr
