(Posted 5/04/01) When it comes to the 'N Sync guys, we prefer Joey Fatone to a pretty boy like Justin Timberlake. We like husky Joey because he reminds us of every guy who hung out by the Tie Rack at the Queens Center mall. In fact, Fatone's such a regular Joe that he and girlfriend/baby mommy Kelly Baldwin, parents of a newborn daughter, have bypassed Tiffany and Barney's in favor of registering online for baby gifts at J.C. Penney and Babies "R" Us, as these screen captures show. TSG's so impressed with the Orlando couple's plain folks manner, we're thinking of plunking down $64.99 for that Comfortemp underarm thermometer. Though that 2-in-1 curved sleep positioner also sounds nifty. Mazel tov, Joey.

(August 8, 2000) Justin Timberlake arrived via a secret entrance in the back with his pop-star "friend" Britney Spears. (By the way, observers tell me Britney looked horrendous without makeup, with a complexion that would make Cam Diaz look as clear as Calista Flockhart's desire not to eat.)
Brit and Just came an hour after the rest of the band showed up, and you can use your imagination as to what they were up to before that. At the club, the couple continued displaying their affection for each other until MTV veejay Thalia entered the perky picture.
"She totally had her eyes on Justin," said an eyewitness. "She was an 'N Sync [rhymes with strut], and to put it mildly, Britney was not happy."
Britney stormed off and didn't return to Justin's side the entire night. Instead, she hung out and danced with friends of the band, but she made a point to keep her distance from J.T., who continued to flirt with Thalia and many other gals, making young Britney even more irritated.
But sleazy behavior wasn't limited to Justin. Joey Fatone was begging two buxom beauties to show off "your tits." How classy.
Compared with the antics of Justin and Joey, the rest of the band was rather subdued. Lance and JC Chasez barely stayed long enough to take off their jackets, while Chris Kirkpatrick was the only member to drink an alcoholic beverage all night.
So, maybe Lance was right about the teetotaling after all. I just don't think the boys encourage such an innocent playpen, that's all.
(Glad to hear it, actually. I was worried.)

In US weekly, it is reported that Joey Fatone's longtime girlfriend, Kelly, is pregnant with his child. She is expecting this summer. There are no plans for marriage as of yet. This is Joey Fatone's first child.

And he arrived at last night's ceremony holding his girlfriend's hand. An eyewitness says, "She was wearing a smock, and many people commented that she looked like she was in the early stages of pregnancy. All the fans were calling out to him, but he just held her hand tightly as he walked swiftly into the venue." *NSYNC walked away with Favourite Musical Group at the online voting awards, but didn't attend the press room to answer questions from the waiting journalists. (2/23/01) 'N Sync's Joey Fatone (one of the four who's not Justin Timberlake), may soon be mixing pop's most successful formula with baby formula. Sources told Us Weekly that Fatone's slightly older girlfriend (he's 24), whom he's been dating on and off for a number of years, is due to give birth to a baby in the early summer and Joey's the proud papa. A rep for the singer declined to comment, but sources said Fatone is thrilled about becoming a parent. "They're not talking marriage," a source said, "but this is serious for Joey. He isn't going to be walking away from this in any way." Not walk away? Whoa. That's the type of commitment any woman could get behind. Three cheers for Joey.

(1/06/01): Happier chitter-chatter on the way: Joey Fatone of 'N Sync notoriety is going to be a father, so his musical pals are telling me.
I'm told the deliverer of his child (and hers) will be none other than his longtime girlfriend--but as J.F.'s reps haven't returned my calls, I can't nitty-gritty it.
Don't know if marriage is in the works as well, but why do I suddenly see this boy band plummeting on the charts as they continue on the road to domesticity?
After all, aren't Justin 'n' Brit headed down Beave-Cleave Lane themselves?

I remember when you reported that 'N Sync's Joey Fatone was soon to be a daddy. I was disappointed (I wanted to be the mother of an 'N Sync baby), but figured it was only a rumor. Until the news last night. They reported everything exactly as you said. I will never doubt you again!

From MTV.com: "Suddenly Susan" Comedienne Flaunts Her 'N Sync Fixation
If you've got it bad for one of the dreamboats in 'N Sync, you now have some high profile company.
Kathy Griffin, red-headed co-star of the NBC sitcom "Suddenly Susan," spent at least a portion of her time at this year's Sundance Film Festival chatting about 'N Sync's Joey Fatone.
Griffin was in Utah to promote her new movie "Dill Scallion" at the festival, and told MTV News' Chris Connelly, "I am in a relationship, a serious relationship, we're hoping to get the cover of 'People,' with Joey from 'N Sync and I'm hoping that there's a cover of Joey and I spooning on a hammock in the backyard of my Beverly Hills mansion. I think it's got a future. Joey's 21, and he thinks I'm 28, and that's fine for everybody, so I think those kids have a future."
When asked about her alleged beau's thoughts on a scene in "Dill Scallion" where she curses out co-star Lauren Graham, Griffin added, "Joey doesn't know I curse. He says nice ladies don't do dirty things, and I say thank you Jesus... we're getting along just fine, but don't let Lance hear because he is jealous."
"Who's Lance? Is that Backstreet Boys?" Graham interjected.
"Can you believe she just said that?" Griffin incredulously quipped. "Backstreet Boys? She doesn't even know Lance from JC?"
So what does Joey have to say about all of this? Well, he spoke with MTV News' John Norris via telephone on Thursday from London where the group was taping an appearance on "Top of the Pops." Joey noted that he and Griffin have been, "married four years, have three kids, and live in Omaha, Nebraska."
Joey than admitted that 'N Sync met Griffin at the Billboard Awards recently, and the comedienne "likes to bust our chops."
