Perceiving GOD'S Schedule
(An Overview Of The End Times)
Everyone is aware that each day has been divided into 24 parts called hours. So, one hour is 1/24th of a day.
Similarly, if the duration of a day were 1,000 years then 1/24th of a l,000 year-day would be 41.67 of our years. Thus, Scripture utilizes a 42 year-hour to layout these end times (II Peter 3:8; Revelation 18:10,17,19; John 2:4). (FIG 1.).
Now note that Scripture speaks of The Seventh Day of each week as being The LORD'S Day. And the Seventh Day of each week is to be kept Holy unto the LORD (Genesis 2:2-3; Exodus 20:8-11; Isaiah 56:1-8; etc.). It prefigures the seventh millennium, The Seventh 1,000 Year-Day from Creation also called The LORD'S Day. (FIG 2.).
Similarly, The Third 1,000 Year-Day from The Birth Of Jesus can easily be reckoned. That is, secular historians assert that Herod the Great died in 4 BC (Matthew 2:1-20). Thus, The Birth Of Jesus had to occur in 5 BC or earlier. However, when the myriad pieces of the puzzle are assembled, all point to The Birth Of Jesus as occurring on or about the summer solstice of 5 BC. Therefore, if 5 BC is year one then the year 2000 from the Birth Of Jesus ended in the spring of 1996 (sundown 16 April 1996 in EST to be more specific). Thus, The Third Day is now obviously underway. (FIG 2.).
Of great significance is that events described for The Third Day (Hosea 6:1-3; Luke 13:32; Exodus 19:11,15-16; Matthew 20:19) are the same events described for The LORD'S Day (Revelation 1:10; Zephaniah 1:1-18; 3:14-20; Joel 1:14-15; 2:1-11,31; 3:14-17; etc.). And this very special 1,000 year-day is also called The Last Day (John 6:39,40,44,54; 7:37; 11:24; 12:48). Therefore, events now tie these great days together as one.
Even the Book of Jubilees asserts that from the beginning of Creation until when the Sanctuary (the Congregation) is ready will be 6,000 years (Jubilees 1:24-29). And the year 6000 from Creation ended and the year 6001 began in the spring of 1996.
O.K., back to The Final 42 Year-Hour.
When laying out GOD'S schedule, the Book of Colossians reveals that GOD'S Holy Days (His Sabbaths, His New Moons, and His Seven Annual Holy Periods) are shadows of things to come. So, when one understands GOD'S Holy Days, they certainly do layout the schedule of events throughout The Final 42 Year-Hour (Colossians 2:16-17; Leviticus 23:1-44). (FIG 1.).
The aforecited explanation is an abbreviated shortcut to perceiving GOD'S schedule for these end times. That is, one may laboriously research Scripture to derive a schedule of events using the entire Biblical Chronology, the several time bridges, the various means for confirming the count of years, etc. Yes, one may work through Scripture from Adam through the Babylonian captivity of Jewry; then, work backwards from AD years: there's the Gregorian Calendar, the Julian Calendar, King Numa Pompilius' Roman Calendar (AUC: Ab Urbe Conditia), and the myriad secular events coupled with Biblical events, the Maccabees, etc. which fill-in beneath time bridges from the ancient to the modern. Then there are the uses of Cardinal (completed) and Ordinal (years in progress) to contend with. Even the Septuagint (Greek) and Masoretic (Hebrew) texts offer sources whose numbers vary slightly from place to place. Even secular dates differ at times.
However, after devoting several years of research one realizes that the abbreviated shortcut to perceiving GOD'S schedule conforms with the various means for confirming the count of years, the time bridges, etc. And, it is far more profitable to understand how the end times schedule evolves than to laboriously recount the entire 6,000 years of history.
The initial Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt encompassed 40 years beginning in 2538 and ending in 2578 from Creation (spring to spring) as the Israelites crossed over the brook Zered and then the Jordan.
During that entire historic Exodus the LORD guided and protected the sojourners and punished the disobedient as The Glory Of GOD dwelt amongst the people. Nevertheless, the people continually disobeyed despite the presence of both Moses (the LORD'S Vicar) and The Glory Of GOD dwelling amongst them. Thus, Moses had a most miserable 40 year sojourn.
Today there is little difference as the multitudes totally disregard the Word Of GOD (Revelation 19:13).
Scripture tells us that we are well into The Second Great Exodus (Jeremiah 16:14-15; 23:7-8). How many will survive?
Scripture also tells us that, when the 40 years culminating with The Glorious Solemn Assembly began, a Human Shepherd (like Moses) was set up and anointed to lead and to guide the flock (Numbers 27:16-17; Micah 7:15; Zephaniah 3:18; Isaiah 49:5-6; 61:1-3; Jeremiah 1:4-10; Psalm 110:5-7; Malachi 4:5-6; Zechariah 3:1-10; 6:9-15; etc.). He shall be a sign to the more obedient (Ezekiel 12:6,11; 24:24-27; Sura 2:248).
However, like in the days of Joshua, the LORD will not magnify him in the eyes of all true Israel until GOD'S Holy Ark crosses over the Jordan "(for the Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest)" referring to the Atlantic (Joshua 3:7,15; 14:4; Jeremiah 50:44). The Human Shepherd, of course, is the responsible custodian for GOD'S Holy Ark over which The Glory Of GOD will once again appear amongst people (Leviticus 26:11-12; Isaiah 40:5; Zechariah 5:9-11; etc.).
Meanwhile, the 35 years of severe tribulations progress on schedule (Leviticus 26:14-33; Revelation 6:1 thru 16:21; Ezekiel 14:12-21; Zechariah 14:12-15; Matthew 24:3-13; Mark 13:4-23; Luke 21:7-26; etc.). These five intervals of cumulative tribulations are keys for laying out much of the end times schedule. (SEE FIG 1.).
For example: the half-an-hour (21 years) of Revelation 8:1 (also see Isaiah 26:19-21 and FIG 1.) help lock The Final 42 Year-Hour in place relative to The LORD'S Day. Additional Keys are GOD'S Holy Days that form a three way lock in the placement of events.
Yea, when the vail "cast over all people" and "spread over all nations" is lifted ... Wow!!! (Isaiah 25:7-8; 44:18).
