Victoria Te' Leon also known as her true name Mai Takahashi is a character made up of numerous pervious lives. She is a Cathayan and a direct descendent on her mother’s side of the family of Dokuja Gaki. She is clothed in a most gorgeous "uchikake" , a long over garment worn by the elder Cathayan in important ceremonies. The silk fabric is embroidered with gold, silver and jewel toned threads , patterned in a golden sun. Beneath her uchikake she wears a Furisode kimono rich in fine embroidered patterns and fine silk texture her color the white of a mature geisha. Her kimono and obi colors changed with the season and emotions of the wearer. By wearing a kimono, she can become in touch with her feelings, because the kimono augments one’s mind and makes one feel at peace. She cannot run while wearing a kimono due to the tightness of it; therefore, calmness is obtained because the ability to react immediately vanishes. This causes one to think before one acts. The kimono is more than just a constraint on the body; it has a mental influence. Her hair is done up in traditional sakkou called bunkin-takashimada and adorned with beautiful gold combs and accessories called kanzashi wearing a kanzashi of a crane on the left hand side made from either silver or gold mizuhiki cord. She also wears a kushi and several kougai made from tortoiseshell, and last but not least, three red ribbons at the front, wrapped within the mage (along with thin strips of silver) and at the back.
