There are loads of rumours about Sephiroth and Aeris being a couple and personally I agree with them.They're perfect for each other,and they've got a lot in common:
1) Their dads are scientists
2) Aeris is an ancient and Sephiroth could be called an ancient
3) They both know Zack(okay,maybe you can't count that one)
4) Their biological parents are all dead(well,Seph's mum was reported dead and he never knew about his father so it counts)
5) As kids,they both knew Professor Gast(Aeris' dad)
Okay,maybe they havn't got that much in common but if they were both just normal kids,they would probably end up growing up together as friends and Sephritoh only killed Aeris to protect Jenova,maybe he had a secret crush on her.
Okay,okay,there's no evidence that says Aeris fancies Sephrioth but if you look at her history in boys,you'll find that she basically goes with whoever she can pull
I mean,when Zack died she went off with Cloud and fell for Tsang,so she probably fancies Sephiroth.
Sephiroth definately fancies Aeris or Tifa anyway and there's evidence for Tifa.It's really well hidden evidence though and he only shows it once...
You may not have got to this part yet but do you remember when Sepiroth shows Cloud the photo of him,Tifa and Zack in Nibelheim? Remember when Tifa goes all quiet at that point and Sephritoh laughs and says
"You look unwell,Tifa"? THERE! FLIRTING!!
And another thing, on that scene he keeps talking to Tifa, asking for her opinion and stuff. He also said to Cloud
"Don't blame Tifa."
Whether Sephiroth and Aeris fancy each other or not,they're still the perfect couple...to bad Sepiroth was flirting with Tifa and you can say what you want,it was definately flirting.
