        EPISODE GUIDE

          

               Episode # 13 - Evil Spirit of the Ring

         Yugi’s classmate Bakura, possessed by his Millennium Ring’s dark powers, traps Yugi and friends the Shadow Realm.  They begin their duel and Yugi realizes that his opponent isn't Bakura but an evil spirit of some kind.  Tristan, Tea, Joey, and Yugi's souls are sent to Yugi's deck.  Yami Yugi tells Bakura that they will duel for the possession of the Millennium Item.  Yami Yugi starts out with playing Cyber Commander, Tristan's favorite card.  Tristan's soul is in the monster and he is sent out on the field.  Bakura plays the Magician of the White Hat which attacks Tristan.  He is sent to the Graveyard where he wanders around.  Yugi is worried and tries not to play his friends' favorite cards afraid for them.  Later he summons Flame Swordsman, Joey's favorite card.  Sure enough Joey's spirit is on the field.  He is confused and Yami Yugi starts to fill him on what has happened.  Joey defeats White Magical Hat before attacking a Morphing Jar.  The player's hands are sent to the graveyard and they draw five more.

          Yugi gets Dark Magician and wonder's if his soul would be played and it is.   He uses Monster Reborn to get Tristan back from the graveyard.  The three boys wonder who is playing for them since Yugi is on the field.  This is the first time Yugi has ever been aware of another spirit inside of him.  Yugi attacks another Morphing Jar and this time Yami Yugi draws the Magician of Faith (Tea).  He summons her in defense mode since nothing is safe in his hand.  She shows up under a card.  Joey attacks a Man-Eating Bug and is sent to the Graveyard.  They can't believe he's gone and Tea starts to cry.  Tea (Magician of Faith) is activated and Yugi gets his Monster Reborn card back which brings back Joey.  Bakura uses Lady of Faith and Change of Heart.  He tries to take control of Dark Magician.  The real Bakura appears in his favorite card, Change of Heart.  The evil spirit wanted him to take over one of Yugi's friends.  The real Bakura wants to help Yugi and the others so he takes over Lady of Faith instead.  He tells Yami Yugi to attack even if he was sent to the graveyard forever.  Yugi uses the Millennium Puzzle to switch the good and bad Bakura's souls so that the evil spirit is in the Lady of Faith.  Yugi destroys the card and sends the evil Bakura to the graveyard to win the duel.  Everyone wakes up and Tristan, Tea, and Joey think it was a dream.  They hear a scream from the woods that sounded like Mai and they decide to go check it out.

Episode Rating (1-10): 9.  Again this episode picks up the plot and adds interesting twists to "Yugioh." This is the first time we are shown a definite existence to the other Yugi.  At this point we don't know where it's from or what it is doing in Yugi's body.
