Basic Classes

This is where we like students of all ages to start. Eight years old is the youngest we allow to enroll in the Salinas Aikido Dojo.

In the basic class, we learn just that: the basics. We establish the foundation on which we build our Aikido techniques.

Some of the things you do and learn in the basic class include:

Breakfalls
Mat walking
“ Ki” drills
Footwork
“ Ateme”
