Fly
non-stop from Chicago to Nassau in the Bahamas, from Vancouver
to San Diego. Fly across Europe or Eastern Australia. Cruise at
31,000 feet after a fast climb. Descend swiftly and keep up with
jets in busy terminal areas.
The
TBM 700 offers jet-like performance with the low-cost and simplicity
of a single turboprop. There is perhaps no better demonstration
of the TBM 700's inherent qualities than its selection by a very
demanding customer - the French air force! Another inherent quality
of the TBM 700 is maintainability, with easy access to all critical
components and subsystems designed in. And a network of authorized
service centers naturally backs it across the World.
The
TBM 700 is certified to all IFR conditions, and offers full deicing.
A heated acrylic windshield ensures full pilot visibility in icing
conditions, while a heated co-pilot windshield is also available
on option.
The TBM 700 airframe is extremely robust. The entire airframe
was designed using the same advanced computer-aided design and
manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems as for commercial jetliners and
commuters. One of its primary features is an aerodynamically optimized
wing, using the same airfoil as a new-generation ATR turboprop
commuter. Wing leading edges are made of a carbon composite material,
for unexcelled lightness, strength and icing protection. The landing
gear is driven by an electrohydraulic system, with a separate
hydraulic reservoir for emergency gear extension.
