Bob Devonshire, a firefighter since 1985, is the Deputy Chief of Strasburg Fire Company No. 1 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. A chief officer since 1992, Bob has also served as chief of the Refton Community Fire Company. He is certified as a Firefighter II, Instructor II, NFPA 1006 Profesional Rescuer and EMT-B. Bob is also a Firefighter I & II Evaluator and is a Pennsylvania State Fire Academy-approved Fire Service Instructor working through Bucks County Community College. He is also Past-President and Charter Member of the Lancaster County Fire Chiefs Association Inc., member of the Lancaster County Fireman's Association Inc., member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Volunteer Chief Officers Section, Safety & Survival Section and life member of the Refton Community Fire Company. Bob was part of the design committee of the Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center on behalf of the Lancaster County Fire Chiefs Association. In 2003, Bob was named Firefighter of the Year for Lancaster County as presented by the Lancaster County Fireman's Association. |
