Central Kentucky Paranormal Research Society (CKPRS) conducted a private residence paranormal investigation at ____________________ Nicholasville, Kentucky. CKPRS was contacted by the client to investigate reported paranormal activity in their home. The investigation took place on 11/8/2008. We arrived at the location at 11:45 pm. Started the investigation at 1:09 am. The investigation ended at 4:02 am. The weather conditions of the night are listed below.

At this time CKPRS is currently doing research on the history of this location to see if there may be a reason for this home to be haunted.
-The client has been attacked in her sleep by an unseen force. She did not see it, but she felt it. She has tried to speak the name of Jesus, but couldn’t at first. Her speech becomes slurred while praying.
-The client and her daughter have seen a female apparition. The daughter said that the apparition did not have a nose.
-Footsteps, door shutting, and a growling noise has been heard in the upstairs closet.
-The clients daughter locked the front door and something unlocked it as soon as the daughter walked away from it.
-Client has heard a female voice in the master bedroom and kitchen.
-A picture frame was thrown off the television in one of the upstairs bedrooms.
-Cold spots can be felt in the great room and the landing.
-The client cannot keep a battery charged.
-The clients pets are affected.
-The clients ex-husband levitated off of the bed.
Investigators that were present were Josh Biddle (Founder/President), Roger Slade (Co-Founder), Phillip Nickerson (Investigator).

Central Kentucky Paranormal Research Society performed a “lights out” investigation of the home starting at 1:09 am. The center of command was set up in the dining room. Our DVR cameras were set up in the Master Bedroom, Upstairs Hallway, Basement, and Upstairs Sewing Room (1 camera in each location). 1 Cell Sensor EMF detector was placed in front of the camera on top of the sewing machine in the Sewing Room. Roger used the other Cell Sensor EMF detector for yes and no questions throughout the home. We also carried a Digital EMF detector along with us during the investigation. A Digital Audio Recorder was placed on a table in the basement. We also carried 3 more recorders with us during the investigation in hope to capture EVP. We also carried both Infrared Thermometers and a Digital Ambient Air Temperature Thermometer. Throughout our stay we used digital cameras with flash to take pictures.
-The team was divided and rotated between the First Floor, Basement and Second Floor. We then collected base EMF levels and temperature readings. The team took turns investigating locations and performing EVP sessions, EMF sweeps, and taking temperature readings in all areas with most reported activity. The base EMF level throughout the entire house was 0.1 mg. The base temperature readings throughout the entire house were 65-70 degrees F.
-During the investigation at 1:18 on the landing, Roger detected a 1.7 mg reading on the digital EMF detector it then went back down to a .01 mg. The 1.7 mg could not be detected again after that.
-At 1:48 in the basement, Josh detected a significant temperature fluctuation with the ambient air thermometer. The temperature dropped from 68 degrees to 58 degrees in the matter of seconds, then went back up to 68 degrees.
-At 2:02 on the landing, Josh detected another temperature fluctuation. This time instead of the temperature dropping, it raised. The temperature raised from 70 degrees to 80 degrees. This happened for a couple of seconds then went back to 70 degrees.
-At 2:34 in the basement, Josh and Phillip witnessed the main room in the basement light up. After further investigating we confirmed that the headlights from passing cars were causing the light show.

Description: While conducting an EVP session, Josh seen a basketball size dark figure go pass him. At first, he thought it was one of the clients smaller dogs. Only to find out the dogs were put up for the night. An EVP was captured during this exact same time.

Description: During an EVP session, Josh felt static electricity build up to his left side while setting the recliner. This took place after Josh mentioned the priest coming in and blessing the house.

Description: During the same EVP session as stated above, Roger became more assertive in his tone and was scratched on his cheek. Whatever had done this it had drawn blood.
Photographs- A total of 80 pictures were taken with digital cameras. Nothing unusual was noted in any of them.
Video- Over 12 hours of video footage was reviewed. Video captured “orbs” which are determined to likely be caused by dust particles or pet fur.
Audio/EVP- EVP work was conducted by investigators in known hot spots in the home. We did capture 4 possible EVPs during our stay.
The first one being captured on the landing. You will hear Josh say “Okay, Josh, Roger, and Phillip are going up to the landing…We‘re gonna…” Right before Josh says “we‘re gonna“. You can hear something breathe. It is still going on while Josh is talking.
The second EVP was captured on the landing also. This was recorded while nobody was talking or moving around. After listening to approx. 2 minutes of silence, we captured this EVP. We believe it is saying “Don’t move”.
The third EVP was captured in the basement. During the EVP session we were trying to get the spirit to move an object close to us. In the recording you can Josh say “Please?…Is that the magic word?” After he asks that question you can hear a voice say “yes”. Note: This is the exact same time Josh noticed the black figure come up to him.
The fourth EVP was captured in the basement as well. Josh was trying to get the spirit to flip the light switch in the closet. In the recording you can hear Josh say “That’s not asking a lot.” After he says that you can hear a voice say “No” or “Nope”.
Examination of the video and photographic evidence collected during the investigation did not reveal unusual findings however we were not able to explain all of the phenomena reported by the homeowner and thus would not consider this case closed.
CKPRS can only conclude , based solely on the evidence collected at the time of this investigation we believe this location does have some sort of paranormal activity taking place. Unfortunately there isn’t enough evidence to determine what class of haunting we are dealing with.
CKPRS would, however, have hoped to be able to provide clearer explanations for the things that the family has witnessed. As a consequence this case remains undetermined and CKPRS would be happy to conduct further investigations should the homeowner desire.
