Another excellent foot launched site for the Oklahoma--North Texas area is called Panorama. It has recently been renovated and is on a scenic parkway in the mountains of SE Oklahoma. It is under the control of the Buffalo Mountain HG club and the Forestry Service. It is 1000 feet relief and a beautiful site. The landing field is somewhat small and is deemed a H3 site because of it. Check with a Buffalo Mountain. Official about clearance to fly here. The following picture shows the ridge and scenic overlook and slope launch to the right of the road.
