Top 5 Trent Richards Matches
#5 - Trent Richards .vs. JB Thunder (KPW Dog Collar Match)
The first Dog Collar Match in the career of Trent Richards, then Red Dawg. A heated rivalry had formed between Red Dawg and JB Thunder in Kentuckiana Pro Wrestling, and the Dog Collar Match was the final battle in their brutal war. This match really was a culmination of all the matches they had in the previous weeks, as both men through their all into it. They were both tied at three corners each when JB Thunder countered a choke into a DDT, and hit the fourth corner for the win.
#4 - All-Star McStoots .vs. Hard Rock Higdon .vs. Trent Richards (3-Way MTWA Cruiserweight Title Match)
This match was insane. The three men went at it for 42 Minutes with back and forth action. Neither man could gain much of an advantage. Hard Rock and Trent worked together for the first 15 minutes, but would soon go at it themselves. From that moment on, the action was off the charts. Tons of near falls throughout. The finish saw All-Star hitting Game Over on Hard Rock. Trent Richards would then come out of nowhere to dump All-Star and nail his Corkscrew Frog Splash for the duke, and the MTWA Cruiserweigh Championship.
#3 - Trent Richards & Simon Sezz .vs. Vic The Bruiser & JC Bailey (Tag Team Match - TLW Ironman Title On The Line)
This match was out of control from the beginning. Vic and Trent started out with Vic trying to humiliate Trent by mocking his size. The two then went at it with Vic The Bruiser getting the upperhand. Eventually, Simon and Trent would get Vic down, and beat on him for quite some time. This match was a huge chopfest as more than fifty chops flew by the time it was over. JC Bailey would eventually get tagged in and clean house. The match then broke down to a four-way brawl as action spilled everywhere. JC Bailey nearly put Simon Sezz away, but when he couldn't, all four men began brawling on the floor, resulting in a Double Countount. After the match, JC Bailey hit Trent Richards with his version of the Michinoku Driver, and Vic followed up with a Middle Rope Elbow Drop.
#2 - Trent Richards .vs. JC Bailey (BBW Crusierweight Title Match)
Trent Richards and JC Bailey's war continued in BBW as JC put his Cruiserweight Title on the line against Trent Richards. The match started out with JC Bailey in full control, just flat-out out-wrestling Richards. Richards would take control however, and come close on many occassions to taking the title from Bailey. Richards hit his Crotch Headbutt, but when he went for it a second time, JC got his boot into Trent's crotch, and would then begin to rally. Richards would then counter a backslide into a Northern Lights Suplex for a real near fall. He followed it up with The Talent Show (Frog Splash) once again nearly winning the match. JC would fight back and hit a Blockbuster (Somersault Neckbreaker) off the top, but couldn't put Richards way. The two men then broke out into a fist fight, and when the ref tried to intervene, he was KO'd by both men resulting in a Double Disqualification. They then brawled to the back.
#1 - Trent Richards .vs. Vic The Bruiser (TLW Heavyweight Title Match)
Brutality. The only way to define this match, is sheer brutality. Never had Trent Richards taken such a tremendous beating. From the opening minute of the match, Vic The Bruiser laid a beating on Trent Richards. But Richards took it. Richards too every bit of it, and Vic was only able to put Richards away with a quick pin out of nowhere. At the beginning, Vic outwrestled Richards, hitting a hiptoss, armdrag, and a bodyslam which Richards answered with a chop. Vic retaliated, and Richards went to the outside. When he got back in, Vic pounced, knocking Richards down with a hard clothesline. Then, the beating began. Vic grabbed Richards in a Knuckle Lock and lifted him high into the air, tearing at the shoulder of Richards. He carried him to the ropes, and then Gorilla Pressed him to the mat. Then Vic chopped away at Richards repeatedly, drawing both cheers, and moans from the crowd. At one point, Vic put Richards in the corner and had the crowd count along as he chopped Richards TEN TIMES IN A ROW!!!! This wasn't enough for Vic though as he then removed Richards shirt, and continued the chop fest. Trent eventually went to the eyes of Vic The Bruiser and attempted to capitalize on Vic.... but the two men then began exchaning chops, with Vic getting the upperhand!! After several MORE chops, Richards took over by kicking Vic low, and nearly got a three count. Richards then dropped the Picture Perfect Elbows, and once again nearly took the strap from Vic. Slightly frustrated, but completely unnerved, Richards continued his attack, nearly putting Vic down for good after a perfectly-placed Superkick. Richards then pounded on Vic who began to get to his feet as the crowd rallied behind him. Vic became impervious to pain, and wouldn't stay down. Vic then unleashed chops again, and Richards chest was nearly bleeding at this point. Vic then bent Richards through the ropes, and back over the top rope, stretching and exposing the chest as he unleashed for BRUTAL overhand chops to Richards' chest. Richards fell to the mat, but then shocked EVERYONE, including Vic The Bruiser, by raising to his knees and BEGGING Vic to chop him some more! Vic dropped to a knee and UNLOADED with a chop. Richards fell back, raised back to his knees, and BEGGED for another!! Vic answered it with a chop, and Richards asked for more!!! At this point the crowd was begging Richards to stop... but he asked for another, and Vic gladly accepted the offer!!! Richards then fell to his back... and the crowd applauded Richards for his bravery, but also applauded Vic for his efforts as well. Vic then ready to finish Richards off, climbed to the middle rope and nailed his amazingly beautiful Elbow Drop that had won him MANY matches up to this point in TLW... but Richards got the shoulder up!! The fans couldn't believe, and the buzz going around the arena was that maybe tonight was Trent's night! Vic then sent Richards to the buckle, and moved in for a splash, but Richards pulled the ref in Vic's path!! Vic plastered the ref in the corner, and turned into a Superkick from Richards!! Richards rolled to the floor, grabbed the belt, and a spray bottle! Vic got up and walked right into a running belt shot from Richards! Richards revived the ref by spraying him with water from the spray bottle. 1........... 2............. 3!!!!!!! NO!!!! Vic's shoulder popped up and the crowd rejoiced!! Richards picked Vic up and sent him to the corner. Vic moved from the avalanche attempt, and school boyed Richards for a quick three! Match over! All in all, Vic chopped Richards 9 times on the back, and a blistering, bruising SIXTY-FIVE times across the chest!! A severe beating indeed. After the match, the two men stood in the ring, staring at one another, as the crowd stood and applauded both men. Vic went to the locker room, and before Richards did he turned to the crowd and raised his arms, and got an applause of his own.
