H2S Safety Division
A review of gassing incidents in the oil related industries show one of the main causes to be due to Hydrogen Sulphide. H 2S is a highly toxic, colourless gas, which is 20% denser than air. The areas that need attention are:
- Drilling or production rigs - onshore/offshore
Briefing areas in hazardous environment
Transfer stations, certain tank batteries & refineries.
