What is a Capsule Lab ? And how do i use it ?

The Capsule Lab needs to be researched firstly at a cost of 600 turns, once you have researched this you must then "pay" for it to be set up. You must invest another 550 turns and 250 million credits ( $ ). Once you have invested the required amount you then have to wait 48 hours for your lab to be activated. Once activated your lab CAN be destroyed if your homeworld is attacked and you lose. It can be destroyed while waiting for it to be activated as well as when it has been activated. To use your capsule lab once you have activated it you must go to projects and then select your lab. Once inside you must input artifacts which are gained in excavation ( explained later on ) and by inserting specific combinations ( shown on artifact page and yes order does count, they are numbered ) you get the arifact that the combination you inserted relates to.

Excavation Basics

 To perform an excavation go to your manage colonies area and select a planet. On the right side of your planets details under the 'Your Command' title select 'Excavation Dig' all you have to do then is click on the Perform Dig button. And you will use turns normally so make sure your income is positive and the normal things for taking turns. Then you will slowly gain artifacts and you will recieve 'Nothing found !' quite often but you will also get artifacts.

Increasing Excavation Chances

 Many things increase your chances and i dont claim to know even half of them, but the ones im pretty sure of or work for me ill post here.

1. Increasing the loyalty on your planets does increase your dig chances.

2. The best planets for digging i have found to be U.Spaziel as 'the' best. And then gas planets. In general the lower the land size the better the planet is for artifacts. So ocean and other planets with low land are 'ok' untill you find a gas or U.Spaziel.

3. There are times of the day that are very good for digging. These i dont know as i havent taken them down i spose :) but there are good times. In these times your chances will again increase.

4. You can use the artifacts that increase your luck, this will increase your chances at finding artifacts.

5. I find a fair few artifacts with my U.Spaziel on which i maxed out its housing. This isnt proven but since talking to other players that have the same planet but not as much housing and dont get as many you could try this for yourself.

6.Note : Being a guardian my mining infra has massive negative modifiers and i find many artifacts so mining has no effect on excavation. Mining in reference to Infrastructure levels or Infrastructure built on planets.

As you can see my planet type is U.Spaziel, it has 2 land ( which is the lowest ), my loyalty is not high ( 50 ) as im a guardian and cannot increase this, but as loyalty helps the higher it is the better. I have 238 people in a space of 2 land :) but that requires 100+ housing infra lvls lol so i dunno how that will go :). Terran Metal is the mineral and doesnt do anything to excavation as far as i can tell. Note : This is not the ideal planet but its good enough :) . It has the right land, loyalty could 'perfectly' be much higher but otherwise fine :)
