Being A Good Christian: Respect
Respect is one of the final stages of being a good Christian. It is not something we can teach ourself, its something we move towards throughout our lives and eventually reach. We have to respect those around us in order to sustain healthy relationships with them, and when we respect others we respect others we respect ourself. Self respect is more important because it is the first step, coming before respect for others. We must respect ourselves because both our minds and our bodies are God's gifts to us and we must appreciate what we have been given in order to fully understand our place in this world. |
