THE ROLE OF COMMUNITY ASSOCIATIONS

COMMUNITY ASSOCIATIONS AND THEIR ROLE

After appropriate vetting the local community group designated member and one other member will carry out home visits to ascertain the suitability of the person and their home.

The designated member will be duly authorised by the project for this purpose and will be issued with an identity card. This person will be required to hold this position for2 years.

The community association may be asked to oversee a neighbouring area if that area has no formal group who could take charge.

The N.A.S.H. makes provision within its constitution for the collecting of membership fees from those committees who have joined the Safety house project. These fees go towards admin costs and the purchase of promotional materials (HOUSE SIGNS INCLUDED)and eventually will support a proposed grant scheme. However there are no plans at present for this to happen and membership will be voluntary!!!! all that we request is that your group or area holds one fund raising event per year the proceeds of which go directly to N.A.S.H(we will assist with advertising and promotional material)
