G R E Y B O T  F U N C T I O N  L I S T

GreyBOT is one of the most advanced server bots ever made if not THE most advanced. It was borne out of my desire to resist those pestering "Script Kiddies" who were ruining my TRIBES experience. It is also designed to give the game a new layer of functionability, the ability to use the chat commands to affect things within the server environment. Therefore making this an essential tool for administration. However this is not only a tool for administration, GreyBOT is also a tool to enhance the game play of Meltdown. Players can register with GreyBOT and their scores will be tracked, these scores can then be recalled in-game using the !overall command to show lifetime scores or the !rating command to show the mission scores. Enhancing game play for the players and hence the popularity of your server.

However, it does not stop their. GreyBOT comes with an almost Fool-Proof banning system, there are many types of ban:

          - Name Ban   
          - IP Ban
          - Tag Ban
          - SHBan
          - SHBanName
          - BanList::Add(IP, Time)
          - *NEW* Perma Ban, won't even let client ping the server

These all combine to make it almost impossible for someone to join if YOU don't want them to. However there is more, you can choose certain Tags to be admined automatically using the $TagADMIN[%i] command found in GreyBOT.cs. The Auto-Admin function of Meltdown has also been enhanced so it matches both Name AND IP before any admin is given.

Another exciting feature is the ability to change the mode of your server so every connection is scanned and only those with the tags designated in $TagADMIN can enter. This is especially useful when hosting a clan match so you will not have to deal with annoying intruders to your game. Finally, you can specify crude names which people sometimes use to degrade the game and clients connecting under these vulgar names will not be able to enter your server, this is useful for Hosts who can be offended by this degrading language.

In addition, GreyBOT closes all known backdoor client side TRIBES console hacks which means that you can be certain clients are not using commands when you are away from your server. All attempts are monitored and Names and IP's are recorded.
