Eric Harrison's Website

Welcome. This is my personal website. Over the years I have added some pictures, stories of travels, books I have read, music that I am listening to, along with some links to other websites. My wife Elise and I are practicing yogis and Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT) after our program at Rising Sun Yoga in Southgate, Michigan. We are enjoying living in our new house in Plymouth and were married on July 6, 2007. This Winter 2010 semester, I am completing my last two dental school prerequisite courses at Wayne State University in Detroit, Microbiology and Biochemistry. I am now interviewing at dental schools and anticipate starting dental school in 2010. Meanwhile, I am shadowing at my dentist's office and learning more about dentistry and being an engineering consultant part-time. The more I learn about dentistry, the more I get excited about working towards becoming a doctor of dental surgery (DDS). On February 6, 2010, I am volunteering with my wife Elise for underserved kids at the Give Kids A Smile Event in Detroit, Michigan. It is a great opportunity to give time to help others live better lives.

On October 25, 2007 I was at the Indiana University Auditorium to hear His Holiness the Dalai lama speak about Atisha's Path to Enlightenment and represent his compassion. We went to Costa Rica for our honeymoon and saw some monkeys, layed on the beach, and ran through the jungle. Then 3 weeks later we toured Turkey with my parents for a week with Yusuf Guleker, a fine gentleman who helps build schools around the world and promotes intercultural awareness. I found the Turkish people to be some of the nicest and most hospitable I've seen in 20 countries. Elise and I are enjoying getting to know each other as man and wife. I like playing guitar, recording music, editing video, adding hardware and playing with new programs on our PowerMac G5 and MacBook Pro computers, discovering new music, shooting videos and pictures with my Sony MiniDV Camcorder, Canon Digital Elph Camera and my Nikon N80 SLR, traveling, camping out and hiking in the backcountry, snowboarding, practicing and teaching yoga, reading, and creating my website. I am still hoping to add more wedding photos soon.
