The first thing you want to do is figure out a rush or not, if a rush you will want to build 3 farms get 6 peasents at gold and 4 at lumber, and 3 at building. Get a barracks and an Altar for 1 hero. I suggest The Mountain King. If you want you also get a Lumber Mill and a Blacksmith (upgrades). As soon as you get your barracks up start building footmen like crazy, and get your hero as soon as you get your Altar. Then send your footmen out with your hero avoiding creeps as much as possible.
If there is no rush plans then still use that strategy but continue to max out your farms ('till at 90 food), also try to get about 3 cannon towers up and 4 guard towers scattered accross your base. Try to level your hero around mercenaries, and gold mines killing creeps with a small party (i.e.-7 other soldiers). Make sure you get more than one gold mine, try to get 3 if possible. A mass of knights and a mass of gryphon riders is very helpful, also try to get some riflemen for air defense when in combat. Fully upgrade also.

Warcraft III News: Patch 1.02 arrived fixing minor problems with the devourer abusing Dragons and such, not many changes... Diablo II News: Users await the new patch fixing dupes, weakening and giving more power to skills, and giving new items and giving items modulations that are found after the patch is released, which is scheduled to come out in Late November.
