I know you've probably all heard about Audiogalaxy by now, but let me rant for a bit on the subject. A few days ago I started looking at the legit functions of Audiogalaxy instead of just using it to leech MGB tracks, and lo and behold I found the group function. With the group thing you hook up with other people who like the same kind of stuff you do, and you all get a messageboard. Plus there's a function for you to post an mp3 to everyone in your group's Satellite (a little TSR that auto-downloads stuff from the server for you). The upside of all this is you can get hooked up with tracks of bands you've never heard before, and because they're filtered through your compadres in the group they're usually decent. Before last week, I'd never heard of Finch or By A Thread, for example - and they're like, good and shit. Word up and all. So yeah, check it out. I'm in a few random emo and indie rock groups, which you can easily find if you search for my profile [superj4y]. Well, whatever floats your boat. ~j~/o

another lap in the rat-race
Stayed up till 5 last night playing Elysium. I quit shortly after I ran out of credits. At least it's cheaper than Everquest, right? Lately I've been having a good deal of fun playing it, which is good. Usually I just play it because I'm addicted. Anyway, I'm up all late, and my alarm goes of at ten, and I'm all 'fuck it' so I skip compsci to sleep longer. Except I forget to reset the alarm, so I wake up at 4:15 - with my Math 100 midterm being at 4:30. Long story short I got there in time with chocolate and a double espresso in my system, and aced it. W00t!
Finally getting back out tomorrow night. The Martlet crew sent me an invite - apparently Boston Pizza is giving us free pizza. Then there's a party at one of the editor's places. I'll have to make a commitment to not party too hard, since the Camosun enviromental studies crew are having a house party somewhere down on Haultain on Saturday. I've come to the realization that getting drunk a lot and trying whatever 'intoxicants' are being passed around is still no substitute for not being shy. I can't rely on alcohol to make me outgoing, because I don't want to have to drink all the time.
And on a lighter note, someone visited this page! Yay!
~j~ out.

notes
The prop images, of which I should be doing one a day or so, are done with Adobe Photoshop 6, because I'm too lazy to install the GIMP. The font on those first two, by the way, is Font Diner Sparkly.
