I commit myself to aiding any child I come into contact with to grow in love and free of fear.
Many of our collective and individual neuroses can be traced back to unpleasant childhood experiences. Unfortunately, these experiences often shape the way we deal with children later in life and we find ourselves repeating the negative pattern we ourselves were forced into as children. A commitment to article nine implies an awareness that children should not be physically or mentally abused and the realization that we can only help them build a more positive impression of the value of life by showing them our example and being loving and fair with them in our dealings with them. We must always remember that they are people too and have the same rights as everyone else.
