Article Seven

I commit myself to contributing as much as I can to the community in which I live.

The level of commitment will obviously vary from individual to individual. Those who have time to spare might seek out active roles in local voluntary organizations. Those who cannot spare much time due to commuting or to other commitments can do much by just being positive examples of the commitment to life and all its richness that being a Newpy represents.

Joining local amateur dramatic groups, or the local choir, or any other local social group, not only keeps such welcome traditions alive in each community, it also brings people together to fulfill common aims and aids the very feeling of community that many of us feel we lack.
