Bundeswehr Advanced Combat Knife (Knife)
Not a good weapon to use against an AK wielding terrorist. You're a lot faster when you have it out, so use it for rushing. If you want to kill a sniper with style, sneak up behind him and knife him before he manages to his pistol out. Primary and secondary fire. Primary is faster, but weaker stabs. If you use primary, be sure to aim for the head. Secondary is slower but more powerful stabs. Doesn't matter where you stab them, it still takes about 35 of their health.
USP .45ACP Tactical (USP)
Fairly good pistol, Counter-Terrorist starting weapon. Accuracy is fine on first shot, but if your gonna spray and pray this isn't a good weapon to do it with. Much better than Glock. Aim for the head with first shot and then rush while shooting blindly. Secondary fire is a silencer. I've heard everything from "the silencer increases your accuracy but makes the shots weaker" to "the silencer decreases your accuracy but makes your shots stronger." I've never really been sure. Use silencer only if you're the only one left on your team.
Glock 18C Select Fire (Glock)
Weak-ass pistol, and Terrorist starting weapon. Best strategy is to run like crazy and hope the Counter-Terrorist runs out of ammo, then unload into him while he reloads. I'd try headshots with this, because otherwise you'll never kill anything. Secondary fire is a three round burst. If I've already messed the guy up with an mp5 or something, and I have to use the Glock as my backup, I tend to use burst. But otherwise, you'll want to try for accuracy.
Desert Eagle .50 AE (Deagle)
As far as value is concerned, this is one of the three best weapons in the game. Only 650$, and it is powerful as hell. Rush a guy while shooting as fast as you can, and you've got a pretty good chance. I've killed groups of carbine using Counter-Terrorists with a Desert Eagle and prayer. .50 caliber makes this a powerful mother. A headshot will usually kill, and two or three shots will almost defiantly kill. Even if this cost as much as an mp5, I'd still use it! Definitely the best sidearm in most maps, and a great primary if you're low on cash.
SIG P228 (P228)
This is a weird gun. Not a bad gun, just a weird gun. Ugly as hell, but its about as good as the USP. I don't know why anyone would buy this, as it is basically a USP with one round more in the clip and no silencer. The accuracy is a bit better as well, but Deagle is way better.
Beretta Elites (Elites)
Yuck. These things are really weak, really inaccurate, and have a three-year reload time. Whatever you do, don't use these as a primary weapon. You'll have to reload in mid fight, and that's not fun when the reload time is something like four seconds. You can use these as a sidearm somewhat, but even with a 30-bullet clip you'll find yourself empty rather fast. If you want to feel cool, you can use these but I hate them. Good if you creep up on a sniper though.
FN Five-Seven (5-7)
This is a good gun. In fact, on maps like Aztec and Siege it's arguably better than the Deagle. You can just keep pulling the trigger and it never misses. Good for long-distance. It's a lot like an mp5, only smaller clip and slower fire rate. I'd recommend this to total experts who are accurate as hell. Close range, I still prefer the Deagle.
M3 Super 90 Combat (M3)
Umm, use this if your really low on money but need a close range one shot/one kill weapon. People rarely use this. It makes a decent weapon when a Deagle or 5-7 is your sidearm. You'd have to be really good to kill much with it. Great for covering a small opening though.
XM1014 (XM)
This is a great weapon. Fire shotgun shells on full auto. Not very accurate, but at close range it's hard to contend with. If you just have to empty a lot of lead into a guy point blank, only the AK and Deagle compare. I strongly recommend this for someone who wants to cover a door or fight close range.
MP5 Navy (MP5)
One of the three best as far as value. Excellent weapon because of low cost, and amazing accuracy. It's only 9mm, but is still fine. A popper weapon, because you'll want to get a headshot with it. Very low recoil, in fact the lowest recoil of any weapon. Not the best point blank weapon, but fairly decent in that respect as well.
Steyr TMP (TMP)
This is an interesting weapon. Very cheap, but incredibly weak. So why do people use it if they can get a Deagle for even less? It is a great weapon for headshots. Very high fire rate, pretty bad climb, and very low power always add up to equal a popper weapon. Just aim for the chest and by the third shots the guy will probably be dead from 9mm in the head.
FN P-90 (P-90, FN)
Nice weapon. Not too accurate, but good for close range. 50 bullet clip so you won't have to worry about ammo like with the mp5. I like to use this on 747 for interior of the plane. Good for spraying and praying.
MAC-10 (Mac)
I used to be in love with this gun. It's a lot like the TMP, only less accurate and a lot more powerful. It fires .45 ACP, so it's great for point blank emptying. If you stand in one spot and fire small bursts, it is good for the longer medium ranges. Great for all the same things the XM is good for. But really bad climb.
H&K UMP (UMP)
Pretty much the only time I use this is when I'm a Terrorist on a VIP map, and I can't buy the mp5. The same thing as the mp5, but more powerful and slower. Also, the clip is smaller and it costs a bit more. I wouldn't recommend this, unless you're a newbie and you need an easy to use weapon.
AK-47 (AK)
This is the third weapon that I admire for value. Very powerful, very accurate first, second, and third shot if your crouching. 7.62 unlike all the other assault rifles, and only $2500. You can really kill stuff at point blank with this. Great for crouch burst sniping. The weapon Counter Terrorists hate but want.
SG 552 Commando (552)
Pretty good assault rifle. I prefer the AK unless the map is Aztec or Siege or something like that. Good accuracy, and good reload. A lot like the AUG but faster reload and less power. Better for newbies who need a scope to shoot decently, but I recommend the AK for pros.
M4A1 Carbine (Carbine, Colt, m4)
The scourge of the Terrorists, and of course the gun they all want. Very accurate, better bursts than the AK and not as powerful. Great gun for headshots because it's so accurate and fast. I wouldn't recommend moving while firing, like with the AK. Overall, one of my favorite weapons. Also has a silencer. Same as USP, I'm not sure about the silencer so I just use it when I'm the only one left.
Steyer AUG (AUG)
Lots of people put this on their top ten favorite weapons list. I have no idea why. It's not as powerful as an AK at close range, and is pretty much the same as the carbine. The scope is totally unnecessary if you have any skill, and the reload is slow. I would prefer a silencer to a scope any day. Just skip this unless you have a lot of money and can't aim on Aztec and Siege.
Steyer Scout (Scout)
This is the true mark of a pro. When some lamer uses the AWM and scores easy kills, I tell them to grow some balls and use the Scout. Not a very powerful sniper rifle, taking two and sometimes even three body shots to kill. However, it is a one-shot kill weapon as far as headshots. And it's just as accurate as the AWM. So if your any good and you want to snipe, please use the Scout instead of some lamer AWM. If you use it, people will respect you a lot more (trust me on that).
Arctic Warfare Magnum (AWM, AWP)
I hate this gun more than anyone hates anything. It's a seriously cheap weapon. Hit a guy anywhere, and the almost always die. Slow reload and semi-automatic don't make up for the fact that it's a one hit one kill weapon. I personally think this weapon should cost a lot more. Anyways, great for long range (if you don't have any testicles). If you want respect, use the Scout.
G3/SG1 Sniper (G3, SG1)
Terrorist only weapon. Pretty good, and you have to be good to us it. Not too accurate unless you wait between shots and are standing still and crouching. But if you are, it's an excellent weapon. The price may be high, but I think it's well worth it. I've taken out huge teams of five guys with one of these. It's about as strong as a Scout, but faster. You should wait between shots. The trick to doing that right is to fire and then listen for the sound of the empty bullet shell hitting the ground. When you hear that, it's a good time to fire again. Your accuracy will be perfect if your not moving and crouching while doing that. Best of all, you can stay zoomed in.
SIG-SG550 Sniper (SIG Sniper)
The poor man's G3. Much cheaper, but less powerful. Also less accurate unless you use the listen to the shell hitting the ground trick. It has a 30 bullet clip, 10 more than the G3. But I can't remember the last time I've used more than 15 bullets to kill anyone. Good if you want something better than the scout but don't want to be a cheap-ass.
FN M249 PARA (PARA)
Every other week I change my mind on whether I like this or not. It has a 100 round clip, so you won't even have to consider ammo. However, you run very slowly when using it. Also, it's only accurate for the first shot, after which it's insanely inaccurate. I'd recommend this for close to medium range but only if you have a lot of money to blow. Being 7.62 it's powerful like the AK, but the rate of fire is rather low. Still, you can kill five guys with this and not reload, that's the advantage. If you have 16000 dollars and are playing dust or assault of something like that it's a fairly good choice. Still, an AK or Carbine is generally better.
Flash bang (Flash)
A very effective item. If you use it correctly, it'll blind the enemy and you'll be able to run in and kill them all. However, most people use the flash bangs at the wrong time, resulting the their own team getting blinded. It's much more effective than most people think. I've seen an entire team of Counter-Terrorists killed on Militia because a single flash bang blinded them. Their rush was totally stopped, and the Terrorists rushed while the Counter-Terrorists recovered and killed almost all of them.
HE Grenade (HE)
I generally buy one of these on missions in case I need it. Good for flushing enemies out, killing snipers, or finishing off that guy who jumped behind the corner after you sprayed him with an AK. HE kills are rare, but that doesn't mean HE is useless. For example, if the Terrorists are camping on Dust, you can toss HE around the corner and rack their nerves by injuring them. They'll be more likely to say "fuck it" and just rush if they're getting more and more injured with every grenade thrown. Also, you can "grenade spam" to ensure that a team won't go through a way. To do this, buy an HE, throw it at an open doorway, and then buy another and repeat every five seconds. This is particularly useful for Terrorists on Assault.
Smoke Grenade (SG)
Like the flash bang, this is misused but effective. Suppose you keep rushing on a map, but the snipers keep killing a third of your team. Nothing will make them stop sniping more than a smoke grenade. It doesn't provide a smoke-screen of cover as much as it creates unbearable lag. Lag that makes sniping pretty much impossible. Unless a sniper has a voodoo5, he'll be forced to stop sniping if smoke is in his field of vision.
C4 (Bomb)
Um, nothing much to say about this. If you're a Terrorist and you have the bomb, try to stay with your team and reach a bombsite. I recommend planting where it'll take the Counter-Terrorists a few extra seconds to reach it.
Night Vision (NV)
You need a decent video card to use this. Good for sewers and tunnels. Really helps you spot enemies. But I think it costs too much to be worth the extra light.
Defuse Kit (Defuse Kit)
I always buy this on bomb missions. Especially if some dumb-ass administrator set the bomb to be 15 seconds. That just takes all the strategy out of bomb missions. If the bombs go off in 15 -25 seconds, you'll need a defuse kit no matter what. Otherwise, it's only $200 so I recommend buying it just in case.
