Basic Description:
This arrogant Saiyan prince loves to flaunt his power- he destroyed a whole planet with a single gesture. Even worse, Vegeta is virtually unstoppable when in his giant ape form. He has traveled across the galaxy with Nappa to seek immortality and conquer Earth, which he regards as a world of weaklings.
However, his mission is short-lived when he meets Goku, or "Kakarot" as he is called, who defeats him. Kakarott spares his life, allowing him to leave. They later meet up at Namek where Vegeta is killed by Frieza. Only later when he is revived to Earth does he realize that Kakarott destroys Frieza, an evil being that had enslaved his (Vegeta's and Kakarott's) race and later destroyed it. Enraged upon hearing Kakarott has become a Super Saiyan, that which he spent his life trying to attain, Vegeta leaves to go do some intensive training on his own.

Later, Vegeta finds himself beaten again as Gohan, Kakarott's son, defeats a being he can not defeat himself. Having to live with this truth that he is not the strongest fighter in the universe, Vegeta spends the rest of his life training to try and surpass Goku. Although cocky and self-righteous, he later admits his faults, and sacrifices himself in order to destroy Majin Buu and save the world.

Character Analysis:
Vegeta is not one to share his feelings or be very open minded although he does have a lot of opinions. He is usually stoic when he's not yelling and keeps all his dark emotions surpressed. The times that he does show his true self are usually during his last moments or moments when he realizes that he might not survive. Even though he does not fear death is often afraid of being defeated or dying dishonerably. His pride is his most noteable aspect as well as his undesirable weakness.

Being made fun of, Pink (man, I never lived that down), Kakarott, His past (more of an annoyance), Being surpassed.
