Pages by friends:

Drop by Tyler's for a warm, fuzzy, yet stylish, experience.  He's into toys, animation, big fellas, music, movies, and other stuff he can tell you about himself.  You can find Tyler in Boy Neptune World.  You may also want to check out Josh's digs in Ecliptor's World.  Josh, a photographer and poet, has a good eye, and the spare, striking design of his site make it a particular pleasure to visit, as does its personal atmosphere.  If you like getting personal, and you can take a touch of sarcasm/bitterness, you are invited to read Dave's diary (or at least, the one he allows you to see) at Big Fat Hairy Living, wherein he recounts, among other things, his misadventures workin' for da Man.  Kirby runs a site called wank; he is a truly unique human being whose site is at times like a balm. Shawn, a good friend of mine, has a journal in which his particular brand of intelligence and wit is on display.  Need a good caricaturist for your party? Look no farther than Toronto's Mark Ciale. He also does other kinds of art. I have one of his quirky paintings, which is the fifth one on this page.

Various and sundry sites:

Threadless sells the awesomest t-shirts, like, ever!

Okay, I don't say this often, but This Modern World, a website run by someone who goes by the name Tom Tomorrow, is an important site.  There, among other things, you will find his entertaining, thought-provoking, political-minded journal and comics (the latter going back to 1990).

The Onion is a fake online newspaper that absolutely rocks.  Sample headline: Nation Afraid To Admit 9-Year-Old Disabled Poet Really Bad.

That Loser Feeling is a personal website that displays the ample wit of the man who created it.  Especially recommended: view the trip to France documented in the Photos section.  You will laugh a lot.

The most fun you can have anywhere on the internet is right here:  homestarrunner.  Trust me on this one.

For anything - and I mean anything - you need to know about movies past, present, and future, look into the Internet Movie Database.  Click here to see the reviews I've posted on the site.

You know that site about the guy who's trying to find a date for his sister and is filming her without her knowledge?  Well if you don't know about it, here's your chance to find out.  This nut has done a few other entertaining experiments, such as The Stinky Feet Diaries and The Fat Project, both recommended.

This isn't a link, it's more of a suggestion.  The only problem is that you'd have to download it illegally, and I would never promote that.  So, whatever you do, don't go onto a program like KaZaA Lite and search for video clips of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, especially the Star Wars and Bon Jovi segments.

Kirsten Johnson is an artist whose witty, off-kilter work I admire and which I would purchase if I had money.

We all know the world would be 38% less interesting without The Simpsons.

For pure mirth, check out Normal Bob's list of the ten best awful movies he's seen.

Best movie site ever:  Requiem for a Dream.

Here's a site that scratches a long-standing itch of mine by making an issue out of misused quotation marks.

See the illustrated story of an unfortunate little gay boy named Rusty.

If you can't figure out what stephenking.com must be about, then go pick up a copy of The Shining or Pet Sematary right now and get readin'!

I have mixed feelings about Michael Moore, but I do appreciate his shit-disturbing abilities.

Don't you wish you could turn your thoughts and feelings into brilliantly personal song lyrics?  Well now you can, with the Automatic Alanis Morissette Lyric Generator!

Speaking of quality music, the Wifebeaters happen to be two friends of mine, and they win the prize for most hilariously white rap duo ever.  On their website you can check out their mad skillz (i.e., listen to their lovely music) or watch some highly entertaining documentaries about them.

The Parking Lot Is Full is a one-panel comic strip you might want to look at.  Although it can sometimes be heavy-handed, clumsily written, or just plain not funny, there are definitely a few gems buried in the dirt.

Candy:

Big Muscle for Men - Sorta self-explanatory, dontcha think?  The way I figure, if someone's gonna have muscles, they should be big.  See also my personal favourite, Big Muscle for Bears, which features a lot less twinks.

bear411 - Bear profile site with fun instant messaging feature.  Free only every second day, on even days.

www.bearporn.com - Lots of pics, shared with an interesting give-and-take system, but badly organized, and you can't write to them.  See also WWW.DADDYSWAP.COM - same concept, focusing on daddies, and SUPERCHUBS.COM, which specializes in bigger bears.

Viste - An Italian artist's drawings of gorgeous musclebears.  Yummy!

MUSCLEBEAR.COM - A fine collection of men.  And you can write to them too!  The only disadvantage is that you now have to be a paying member to have full access to the site (ie, to see the full-size pics, etc.).

beefyboyz.com - Like musclebear.com, a great collection of men, not least of which are the two gorgeous hosts, Jim and Bob.

GainerWeb - Now that BellyBuilders is all but defunct, this is the gainer site to visit.
Top ten:  bear_gainer, JeepBear, VGLCHUBLA73, FatBearGut, Keenankent, GainerSDCA, Jon Bear, BigBear370, huskygainer, inflate98

Bear-licious - Beautiful bears from all over.

Ballbellybear - A mini gainer site, but its small population is dense with yummy gainers!
The best: BearBait77, IaBear, CMBigDog, BigMLB, StockyJockCA

Resources for Bears - A friendly though barely used site with a high quotient of attractive men.
Top ten:  bearbait, KCBear, BigBeefNH, KSpsiBear, Alaska Griz x2, CubMike, CountryBudTX, METALBEAR, planojoe, GutnMuscleBear

BellyBuilders, R.I.P. - This was one of my favourite sites, until it got drastically scaled down.  It used to contain the profiles and pictures of gorgeous gainers.
The men on this site were proud of their growing bodies, and with good reason.  Here were some of my favourites on the site (these links won't take you to their profiles anymore, but to the page explaining what happened to this wonderful site): GetNBig, lifterbulkOZ, GraduateGut, JumboGrow, SFhuskygainer, BiscuitBear, HeftyRednckBear, BallBelly, Furry1, HugeRedBear, BostonBelly, BellyBldr, ILBigBear, BillYar, AlGainR, BustMyGut, FatFanPlus, BulkNUP, Fatlvr, FattenUp9

Hot websites by people I don't know:

Will you LOOK at these guys, for god's sake:  As if gorgeous bear Brutus wasn't enough, all the friends on his site are beautiful too!  Click on Chris for a refreshing, endlessly amusing site (plus he and his partner ain't bad looking either).  Take a closer look at what appears when you click his link, though! Chuck's jock looks are reminiscent of Mark McGuire.  Go to Frank's page and check out his collection of pics; I like the circles this guy travels in...  Hugo Girard is a strongman with lots of pics of his delicious self on his site. Jeff/aka Abearius has a simple, straightforward site that showcases his intelligence, wit, attractive looks, and pleasant personality.  Give im a whirl! Lynn Ludwig's talent has less to do with art than it does with being at all the bear events with a camera.  But that omnipresence makes his site a treasure trove of bear pics.  Mack is a well-known musclebear porn actor / escort based in California; there are plenty of mouth-watering shots of him on his site.  Another bear you might want to consume is Stephan; shame about the king-size ego, though.
