Art I own.

By the Old English Barn by Suzette Terry. Oil.
This is a southern Ontario artist who works in many different styles
and mediums. Impressionism happens to be one of my favourite styles
of painting, and nature one of my favourite subjects, so this was right
down my alley. The dark, vivid colours drew me to it.

Alive by Conrad Mercure. Ink.
My brother's an artist; he gave this to me. Taking my cue from
the title, I think this represents a being vibrant with life, with no boundaries
such as a body. As freeing as that would be, the idea is also frightening.

Brueghel Trees by Andrew
McPhail. Pencil crayon.
A gift of the artist (a Toronto resident). Another favourite
style of mine is abstract. What I appreciate here is the superimposition
of recognizable objects onto an abstract landscape.

Snow Shadows by Guy
Parrotta. Acrylic.
Another southern Ontario artist. Nature again, in more stark
lighting this time. I like stark.

nuncake by Mark
Ciale. Acrylic.
A Toronto artist with a good sense of humour. What I like about
this one is that the humour is tempered with a degree of creepiness.
A lot of my favourite works of art ask questions, which this one certainly
does.
