The pools are situated about half a mile from the A51 between Rugeley and Colwich. Leave the A51 at Wolseley Bridge by the canal bridge heading towards Colwich/Lt Haywood/Gt Haywood, and go right just after the speed camera. Follow this road and go straight across at the crossroads up Bishton Lane. As soon as you go over the railway bridge, turn right. At the end of the track, you will see the fishery gates on your right-hand side. For more help, use the Map situated above.
Fishery rules:
- The gates will be open at 7:00am in the summertime and 8:00am in the wintertime,
- The gates will close at dusk,
- Keep nets are only allowed in matches,
- All nets MUST be dipped [both keep nets and landing nets],
- Barbless hooks only,
- No trout pellets are to be used,
- No nuts in any form are allowed,
- Ground bait is allowed in sensible quantities,
- Fishing is only permitted from permanent pegs,
- Disabled pegs must be pre-booked,
- In matches, two nets are required: One for Carp, one for silver fish,
- No litter,
- No juveniles under the age of 16 are permitted unless accompanied by an adult.
Peg fees:
- Day ticket: £5.00 for up to two rods
- Evening ticket (3:00pm until dusk): £3.00
- Concessions, Juniors, OAPs and Disabled: £3.00
