Poor Parenting Leads to School Shootings

You know, one of the things that really pisses me off is the American Media’s attitude about placing blame. For some reason, they think it’s permissible to claim that young people are always responsible for virtually everything, while the older, “wiser,” portion of the population is always perfect.

What a crock of shit. I wonder if the fact that the second group writes all these articles has anything to do with this tendency.

For some reason, the media thinks it’s funny to call younger people slackers, worthless, disrespectful, lazy, and any other series of insulting adjectives. Seriously, when was the last time you received a compliment from a baby boomer? I can’t remember ever getting one.

Disrespectful!? Do they seriously think they are WORTHY of respect? I type that with incredulity. But of course, you’re never going to read a headline that says “American Youth Disrespectful Because No Authority Figure DESERVES Respect.” Nope, it’s always OUR fault that they don’t get what they want.

Yep, the children of America’s adult class are the biggest terrorists of the age. It’s our fault that they aren’t millionaires. It’s our fault that they aren’t getting blow-jobs from super-models. It’s our fault that they never got a chance to quarterback a team to a super bowl victory. It’s our fault that they never got to star opposite Robert Redford in a movie. It’s all fucking us.

Why don’t you grown-ups start growing up? That would be nice.

I’m so sick of seeing the people of my generation painted in such an unflattering light. It’s time to start placing blame where blame is deserved. Let’s talk about legal liability for a moment. A person under the age of 18 is a minor, therefore the parent is legally responsible for their actions. If a young person destroys somebody else’s property, it’s the parent’s legal responsibility to pay the damages. Why is the system like that you ask? Because young people are in the care of their parents, they are learning about society and how to be human beings. They haven’t developed to the point where they can make decisions yet, so they are little more than reflections of their parents.

So what does a kid who decides to go to school and kill all his classmates reflect? Yes, shitty human beings as parents.

I mean come on, what level of psychological torture must some kid have endured to get to that homicidal level? There is no basic human impulse to kill your fellow man. Most people just want to be left alone to seek happiness in their own way. For somebody to be provoked to the point where they’re willing to sacrifice any chance of ever achieving that happiness simply for the sake of a few hours of payback, indicates a pretty rough treatment.

FBI profilers are always called in and they always come up with the same bullshit, catch-all explanation for events like this: The kid was insane.

Great work Sherlock. Boy, there sure is a lot of insanity going around. Funny how that explanation places all the blame directly on the child. I don’t know about older people, but that kind of behavior puts a bad taste in my mouth. Or, to put it another way, I’d never use a child to scapegoat my error. But then again, I’m a responsible human being.

Insane? Ok, so this kid was insane but he never showed any signs of it for 18 years and just spontaneously one day decided to go on a killing spree. Thus, his parents and all the people of the older generations are victims and the youth of America is the constant evil-doer.

Can we have a resounding chorus of BULLSHIT! Please?

I’ll let you all in on a little secret, these kids that do school shootings all give off warning signs of extreme emotional distress long before they ever pick up a gun or start slapping together primitive bombs in the basement. They give off signs, it’s just that their asshole parents are too busy moping about and pursuing their own selfish agendas to ever notice.

That’s right, the parents simply don’t give a fuck. I mean if a kid is running around in iron tipped books with a shaved head and a T-shirt that says, “I love Adolf Hitler,” maybe the parent should go up to little Johnnie and say, “gee son, is everything OK in your life?”

There is no greater plea for help than some 18 year old turning into a skin head. I seriously can’t imagine a more lonely existence than that dedication to hatred. These people are begging for love and attention, and if you give it to them in a positive way, you can avert the violence. They don’t really believe or understand any of the bullshit racist propaganda they spit out, they just say it to get ATTENTION! A parent that is willing to engage you because he hates what you stand for is still preferable to a parent who is completely indifferent.

Why is this so hard to understand? If parents would just do their job a huge portion of the world’s suffering could be alleviated in a heart beat.

But to even suggest such a thing in the American media, or even a polite dinner conversation, is likely to get you deported from the US? Why, because the older generation is indignant about considering itself a victim, and any denial of their victimhood is taken with a defiant stance of sanctimonious indignation.

Getting back to the issue of legal liability, what do you think would happen if the media held parents of children who committed school shootings responsible? What if those parents were made an example of and thrown in jail? What if they were forced to sell everything they owned and make restitution payments for the rest of their lives? What if they were excluded from society as outcasts?

Here’s one thing that I think would happen, other parents would start paying a lot more attention to their kids.

I mean, the way it is now there is no enforcement of responsibility for poor parents. A child does something wrong and the whole society jumps on the child’s back and comes to the aid of the parent. “Poor parent, your child killed 57 people, how unfortunate that you were given an insane human being to raise.”

In my system, we assume that the child is innocent and the blame lies with the ADULT!

DUH!!!!!!!!!!

What the hell is wrong with the world? The way I propose is so obviously right and the way that things are done are so obviously screwed up that it just fills me to the brim with a sense of cataclysmic frustration. I think it’s obviously a sign of the apocalypse when parents start shamelessly using their own children to escape punishment for their mistakes.

It’s so disgusting, I better stop writing before I say something I’ll regret later.

Actually, here’s a good idea, something that makes me feel a little better. Take this article and copy it into an e-mail. Then send it to your parents under a different name. Let’s get this thing circulating. It’s time that somebody started taking positive steps to stop the current insanity. The human race won’t survive very long if parents continue to prey on their own offspring.

The End
