About Armed and Dangerous Productions
(Posted by: Sean Henry.) It was back in the day, the Summer of 2004.... Marc, Mike, and I were in the backyard observing with awe the new camcorder. It was then we decided to film our first movie...one so original that it would be based on war...but not just any war!...it would be based on World War2 and would be called: A Good Day to Die. It would not be any common World War2 movie, but one filmed in the backyard of Cherry Hill...one without a soundtrack and lasting less than five-minutes...one with an ingenius combination of drums, capguns, a treefort, no costumes, and three "actors" (GOFF Goff goff!!!). That's right! This was bound to take the nation by surprise. Unfortunately however, the two-day production turned out nigh as great as I have just put to words (GOFFFF Gofff goff!!!). Thus it was (and is) the movie, which we had invested so much skill and thought into, was just about worthy enough to compete with other "great shows" like "Barny" and "Survivor". After this, we filmed two other movies, the latter at the same semi-amateur level as our first. There was one good part in our third production, however, when we reenacted the time in my life where I got shot at while playing my bagpipes. Other than this, our dream of movie-making was pathetic, and therefore almost forgotten. I wrote the script to a comedy (and it was actually pretty good!) but at that point, my "fellow Republicans", Marc and Mike, were in too much despair to film anything, least of all something stupid. But then it happened.... We were on a vacation, when, suddenly, the idea to film a spoof on Gladiator came to us. The movie was turning out our worst ever, but there was a silver-lining to it all.... After a couple days of filming, there came to us another idea, one to film an actually long movie...one of drama, wise dialogue, and epic-battle sequences. We would use the computer to edit it, add soundtracks, and even make special-effects. The thought was so inspiring, we even planned on putting money into its production. Forgetting our Gladiator spoof, we planned on bying costumes, armor, and even real weaponry (blunt, of course)! The movie would be called "UNSUNG HEROES The Cursed Land", for we also planned to make sequels to it later on. With this idea, we were inspired, as well, to name ourselves as a company. There was much argument to this. In the end, we settled on "Armed and Dangerous Productions". We originally wanted to make its logo be the picture of someone shooting (with a camera) a cringing bagpiper. But this idea was shut down when I took a more profound route in making the one you can now see in most of our
Movies.
