Hi and welcome to Musings on the Buffyverse, my BtVS links compilation! I enjoy surfing the web for Buffy related links but in my surfings, I discovered that it can be a real challenge to pick through the thousands of Buffy related sites on the web in order to find the really good ones. I decided to create this site in order to help guide other people to the best of the BtVS web. For a description of the various categories and pages of my site, please visit my Site Map. Otherwise, happy surfing! Updates August 8, 2004 Lots of links checking today - all of the main pages except Music Videos and the "Spike" section of Spiked and Spuffied so far. Sadly, found a number of good sites to be no more. Have been contemplating the future of this site. Have not been paying it much attention since acquiring a real domain of my own but I still like the idea and find it useful myself. Am considering converting it to PHP and moving it to my new domain for faster loading and a nicer look to the site but feel daunted by the amount of work that entails. Also feeling a bit frustrated by the very nature of the site - BtVS is over and AtS now is too, so sites are disappearing fast and some categories are emptying out. Anyway, I'll contemplate some more and keep you posted on what I decide. July 11, 2004 A couple new links in the Music Vid pages. June 26, 2004 New layout, featuring Eliza Dushku. Hope you enjoy! June 19, 2004 I forgot to mention a few weeks ago that Musings on the Buffyverse has won another award, the Best New Site Award at Silver Lining Awards! June 13, 2004 A little more links checking, but my heart wasn't in it today, so I ended up adding new music videos to my BMV recommendation pages. (At least one per category!) Also added links to two other sites with excellent vid recommendations that are slightly different and much more detailed than mine (both webmistresses actually make vids, unlike me). I should go through mine a bit better and do some culling. Most are pretty good, but every now and then I throw in one mostly because I like the song. . . . ~blushes~ June 8, 2004 I've noticed a spike in traffic on this site since school let out a few weeks ago and so decided to do some clean-up in the form of more systematic links checking. So far this morning have done General, Cast/Character, and Shipper links, although I will have to revisit a few on the latter two, as there were several sites for which it was hard to tell if the server was simply down/site on hiatus or it was actually closed. Did find a number of sites actually closed (including my lovely affiliate Blissful Amber) and still more moved, so hope the clean-up has helped make your visit here more pleasant. :) Plan to continue this clean-up in the next few days, but right now, I should really get around to cleaning up my apartment. :) Note that I need to find some some Willow/Alyson Hannigan fansites. Anybody have recommendations? Email me! June 2, 2004 Musings on the Buffyverse has a new affiliate! Much Ado About Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of the sights featured on my Best of the Best page, as it has long been one of my favorites of the large general BtVS sites. I hope you will go check it out, if you haven't already! May 28, 2004 Updated some links. This is a process I'm generally horribly unsystematic about. Basically I randomly open a page and click, equally randomly, on some of the links therein. :) If you find any broken links while visiting the site, please feel free to email me and let me know. In fact, I'd encourage you to do so! Part of the reason I started this site is because I was sick of links databases and pages full of dead links. Sadly, with both BtVS and Angel ended, I expect a lot more sites will probably be closing soon. May 1, 2004 In honor of the last month of Angel, I'm putting up a new layout featuring Angel and Darla and the night it all began. Hope you like it! April 5, 2004 ~sob~ My lovely affiliate Precious Moments, also listed on my 'Shipper Links page, has closed. The Judgement Awards, which just gave me the Best Links Database Award and is also one of my affiliates, is also currently in its final round and will be closing on May 19th. April 3, 2004 I decided to put up a new layout, made with screencaps from Buffy Screenshots of The Gift. I've always been struck by SMG's expression in this moment - I think it's perfect for the scene. Hope you like it! I'm currently working on my parents' computer, which has a dial up connection, so putting up this layout took a long time. Hopefully, I didn't miss any pages, but please don't be surprised if you stumble across one that still has its old Ruffy layout. I will check the site more thoroughly when I get back to my nice cable connection. (Although if you do happen to run across a page I missed, please feel free to drop me a line and let me know! Spring is here and I will be visiting my parents a lot to help them with all the yardwork necessary on an acreage at this time of year. Their modem is dial-up and slow, and I'll be outside a lot anyway. Just wanted to give any regular visitors (are there any?) a heads up that there aren't likely to be many updates for the next few weeks. Sorry! |
