"WILL EVERYONE PLEASE JUST SETTLE DOWN!!!" I shout over the crowd consisting of Derraka and their keepers as well as a few regular visitors, Comet my own Derraka growls something similar to the other derraka, though not as polite. “Please let me finish” they carm down but I can see the fear and utter disbelief in many of their eyes “Yes HemOtarn only has a few days” I raise my hand to still the questions that are already being fired “But no this is not the end, we will follow the example the Derraka set when their own world faced the same fate – we will find a new one and start afresh”
“Lusewing” Holly calls, her young derraka Glow by her side “I admire your optimism but from what you said we only have till the tenth at the latest! Are you just expecting to find a world that is not only liveable but able to accommodate all of the animals and Derraka!” she stands worried with one hand protectively on Glow. Practical and smart to the T was Holly.
“I understand your concern Keeper but it is unnecessary, A world has already been found and is at this moment is being prepared for our arrival. Plus I should add only a few of the animals need be taken with us as many of the wild HemOtarn inhabitants have already begin to leave, either through the gates or by their own means” With that news both Holly and many of the other keepers and Derraka settled, well all but Dranzer and Indiana who seem positively ecstatic at the though of this adventure.
“Kim” says Star “there is a lot of work to do and I’m not sure about everyone but I think most of use would want to start right away” Everyone nodded and agreed, after all who just wants to sit and wait for the end.
“So do I but a crystal gate has yet to be put in place so till then…”
“How long will that take?” shouts a traveller in the back, Comet quietly growls at the interruption.
“four days, five at the latest till then things will be sorted and packed for the move, that includes 37 Derraka eggs. So we are going to need all the help we can get but I know many of you are busy with your own homes and problems so to make sure I know who will be able to help with the move I would like everyone to sign here” I place a book on the table in front of me “That includes keepers with their Derraka and old or new HemOtarn visters, of course there will probably be a gift for your efforts at the end”
