Joseph: "Sorry guys, I'm against photos too. Frankly, I don't see the point of having our pictures posted up. Everyone knows who we are (even the new kids will know us from the meeting after registration). Maybe during the year we can put up candid pictures of people (kind of like last year's "babe of the week" pics), but I'm against photos for the first day."
Bonita: "I'm not sure I like the idea of putting pictures of the new kids up. If it
were me I'd feel kinda' weird, like I was being singled out. What if we just had all the new/
returnees stand up and introduce themselves during our little class get together
before we actually register. there's only oging to be like, 3 NEW kids at most. can't we just put a
nice little poster with our names and positions up or something?
everyone knows who we are already, except for the new kids, and
they'll at least be introduced to us on registration day, people just
don't know what position we have. it's a lot of work for a very short
amount of time when we're going to be super busy as it is. think of
all the ideas you people have for the first week. we'll be under a
mountain of stuff and won't know how to get out. trust me. i know.
"
Annemarie: "First of all, I haven't heard back from the registrar
regarding the number of new/returning students. I agree with you guys about not having photos of the new/returning students pasted on a bulletin board. That might be a little awkward to do
so. :) As for the camera, I think digital is good. Laura McQuay has a digital camera -we could ask her if we could borrow it for this purpose. If you would like, I will try to e-mail her.
Other than that, my mom might be flying up with me to Manila and my dad has a digital camera he might be willing to let me borrow for this purpose. Of course, I would need to get his permission
for this. :)"
Andy: "pics of everyone would be pretty cool and we could find out who is really
embarassed of bad pics we could probably get copies of all the digitals they take for id's
that is an idea or we could just use a camera and take the pics ourselves maybe get aunt
chris involved don't know."
Andrew: "I'm all for the photos of us, I think that'd be awesome. Let's do it!
But the new kids? We'd have to ask to take photos of them and they may object to that. Not to mention it being uncomfy if they are shy"
Jenni: "photos is kinda weird... i think that we don't really need to show everyone
who we are and that they wont all really care anyways."
Arlene: "I don't see a lot of cons for class officers, i guess, but um, andy, student
ID pics usually turn out pretty bad... :l i like the idea of having aunt chris do them
better, tho the student ID thing is probably more convenient... As for new people, I agree
with bonita.. they might feel singled out, and like jenni said, we do kinda already know
them all--if that's all who's coming next year. Annemarie, would it be OK for you to e-mail
the registrar and find out for sure?"
