Squad Expectations:
My main goal:
My main goal to accomplish by forming the
Terran Squad, which KD-Combat asked me to form, is to educate players and
hone their Terran skills. I hope to accomplish this through rigorous
training and fun exercises to keep the squad moving and tight knit. I want
there to be a desire to be a part of it, and the competition for the 5 spots
will be as cut-throat as necessary for successful gaming. Here is the plan I
am going to start with. If it changes, there will be notification on the
main page of this website.
Competition:
Tournaments and other such competitions will be held by the team to decide
who stays and who goes. This means, that if you aren't on you're toes, you
will find yourself off your feet. People always complain about putting on
the tags and never looking back or bothering with the clan, well, you will
now. Players will receive their positions as they are weighed against the
clans skill pool. If you can't compete, you can't stay in. It's that simple.
What's In It For ME?:
Well, besides the fact that rigorous training will raise your skill level
and confidence immensely... there's always the tournaments and prestige.
This Squad WILL be Elite, and no one can take that away from us. Clan
participation will help gain you Seniority and put you in a more congenial
light. If you are looking for promotions, this is the place to go. Always
participate, if you want your clan to survive.
Tournaments?:
Tournaments will be held for two reasons. To see the progression of skill in
the clan, and the learning curve that has been created. For you, it is a
highly competitive atmosphere against people who will know your limits. So
you must always be ready to break them. It is a way to look back at your
games, some of the hardest ones you will play, and improve. There is always
room for improvement. And there is the satisfaction in knowing that only the
best make it here, and you are one of them. In the Terran Squad, there is no
second best. For us, it is a way to see just how good you are doing, and
what you need to improve on. After tournaments, dossiers will be handed out
after watching the replays, and 10 or more points will be introduced as to
how the game could have been better. Upon receiving this, the Squad member
must attempt to improve at least 2 of them during the next training phase.
Interested?:
Well, if you want a shot at making it, you must challenge a member of the
squad for their position. If this happens, and they reject the challenge,
notify me (e-mail contact at bottom of page) unless they give a good reason.
If a reason is given, they can be challenged at a later date. If I am
notified, it had better be good. And if you don't get to challenge one
member, find another.
Requirements:
To be a TS participant. You must be active, ready to learn, and an
aggressive competitor. If you are not on you run the risk of losing your
spot to someone else. And if you don't co-operate or fail to compete, you
are gone, whether or not it leaves us short a man. If you are booted, you
can make an appeal and test back in, through me, but it's not going to
happen often. All appeals sent to below e-mail address.
