Welcome to my RPG: Galopagos E.V.O. What is Galopagos E.V.O. you ask? Actually, this game is kinda loosely based on some of my favorite series but with it's own thing going. Galopagos E.V.O. is a club [made up of course] in California owned by Edward Victor Olsen, known as Evo for short. His club is one of the most successful in town, and though it does have a bar, it also has regular dining experiences also, accompanied by music from guest bands and its own house bands. It is a club suitable for all ages depending on the time of day. The queus are always long and everyone always wants to be a part of the #1 place. Being rather exquisite, it also has a tendancy to attract the elite and has prices suitable enough on many of their items to allow the working classes to enjoy it as well. Being an employee is even more honorable than being a guest. However, despite all its employees, only a total of 3 of the employees have ever met the owner, Evo. Being an evening club, Galopagos E.V.O. opens at 3 in the afternoon with it's lunch/dinner crowd and plays the club radio until about 6. From 6pm-8pm, there is open karaoke to enjoy during dinner hours. From 8pm-1am, the club becomes a true place of party with live music/entertainment, and many surprises...especially in August, its self-designated Luau Month. There are several managers who keep the club going. Each section of employees answers to that specific manager and anyone over them. Don't be fooled...even though the game does focus a lot on the club, we are also able to RP the lives of some of the customers as well as the private lives of some of the employees. BTW, this game does have a mix of anime and X-Men: Evolution, but we try to modify the characters. So don't be surprised to find "mutants" in the game. It's pretty open and laid back...but each character is individually considered by the 3 GM's. Rules 1. No powerplaying, god-moding, no moving or killing of a character that is not yours without permission from the player or GM. 2. Rate questionable posts properly [pg-13, R, NC-17, XXX]. Anything below these ratings: PG/G, does not need to be rated. 3. Keep OOC's to a minimum, NO OT's unless it is very important. 4. Please post your bios and pictures under folders and albums that are marked with your name. You are responsible for keeping up your folder. If it is not kept up, you may be overlooked. 5. Do not introduce a character until it is approved. Don't just post it, please upload it into the files. 6. Please no flaming. This game does contain homosexual implications. Keep and open mind. 7. Please do not use your characters to bash others needlessly. Likewise, players, please don't take things so seriously. It's a game. Some characters may not like some things. Don't take it personally. 8. Post at least 3 days a week if not daily. I want to try and keep the group fast. 9. If you will be gone for a long period of time, please tell us so we can work around your character{s}. If you will be gone longer than a month, write out your characters until your return...otherwise, you may be removed. If you are removed for absence and are able to play again...you are welcome to rejoin. 10. We are not exactly famous published writers, but PLEASE try and use proper spelling and punctuation to the best of your ability. 11. When writing, write in 3rd person. 12. You can play as many characters as you can handle so long as they are approved. 13. I'd really appriciate if you used the bio form I've already provided so we are uniform in information. 14. I have no problems if you want to modify characters from other games to fit this game. Just keep in mind, I'm not accepting super powerful characters. I don't mind is they have mild abilities though. Ex: I will not except a character who can control minds or turn into acid....but I will accept some physical mutations, telekenesis, y'know...little things. Any questions, just submit and bio and we'll let you know. 15. As stated before, Yaoi/Shounen-ai, Yuri/Shoujo-ai and straight pairings are all allowed provided the person you choose as a partner agrees as well. 16. Keep it real and have fun. I shouldn't have to add anymore rules...not unless I see a problem. 17. Once your character{s} is/are approved it is your OWN responsibility to fill out the cast database. This way we know who ppl are. You are free to add the GM and players on this list to your IM programs to discuss characters, plots, etc. You will receive all important files once you join: Bio Form, a copy of the rules and About The Game. You must have a Yahoo Groups account to play...as we need you to fill the database. Cross-Overs? To be honest, MOST of the characters here are from other anime or cartoon shows. Most of mine are from Gravitation ^-^ And there are made-ups as well. So, yes, you can bring in characters from other tv shows, but please modify them. Sometimes this means changing the names or perhaps history so that they fit the story. EX: If you want to play, I dunno, Nakago from Fushigi Yuugi, you would not be allowed to have him from Ancient China...you'd have to change his history, you'd have to decide if he's too powerful and if he is, make him less powerful. What does he do for work, as he lives in the modern world now...or is he a member of the "I never have to work cuz I'm rich" elite? If he's elite, why? How did he get his money? I'd suggest reading other bios before you make quick decisions. It may help you decide what you can and can't do. Any questions, just send in a bio form and we'll get back to you.
