The various armies of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Before you choose your army you should know about how to set up an army. To start with, the units are divided up into H.Q. units, elites, troops, fast attack, and heavy support. H.Q. units are your commanders and their bodyguards. They are typically powerfull, but they are small units, and they are very expensive. Elites are very special, powerful, and expensive troops. They are nice to have, but you can't have to many. Troops compose the main fighting force of your army. They are usually cheep, so you can take lots, but they arn't that powerfull. Fast attack units are able to move quickly and flank the enemy, but tend to be week. Heavy support units have large weapons that pack a long ranged punch. This could be a tank or a heavy weapon squad. These units are emmensly powerfull, but they are very expensive and slow. |
