1998

Prince Gabriel of Liechtenstein was born May 6th. He is the 5th child of Prince Gundakar of Liechtenstein (*1949) and his wife Princess Marie Isabelle of Orleans (*1959).

Count Wilhelm of Spee (*1963) and his wife Countess Lorraine of Schonborn-Buchheim (*1968) had their first child in June. It's a boy called Gustav who was baptized September 20th.

Count Henri of Paris celebrated his 90th birthday on July 5th.

Prince Philippe of Orleans was born on the 3rd of November. He is the first child of Duke Charles-Louis of Chartres (*1972) and his Greek wife Ileana Manos (*1970).

Count Bruno of Limburg-Stirum (*1966) and his wife Comtesse Christine de Lannoy (*1967) got a second son on November 6th. His name is Felix.

Birth of Archduke Ludwig of Austria on November 16th. He is the second child of Archduke Simeon (*1958) and Princess Maria Paloma of Bourbon-Sicily (*1968).

Engagement of Duke Eudes of Angouleme (*1968) with Marie-Liesse de Rohan-Chabot (*1969) in November.

1999

Count Louis of Limburg-Stirum (*1962) and his Spanish wife Belen Lopez-Montero (*1965) got their first child. It's a son called Jean. He was born February 2nd.

Birth of Gaspard Crepy at the beginning of March. He is the third child of Edouard Crepy (*1969) and Clothilde d'Orleans (*1968).

Since April 4th Princess Mafalda of Savoy-Aosta (*1969) has an illegitimate daughter called Anna Lombardo di San Chirico with the Italian actor Matteo Lombardo (or Francesco Lombardo di San Chirico *1968 ?).


Duke Philipp of Württemberg and his wife Marie Caroline had their 3rd child on June 15th. It's a boy called Carl Theodor!

During the civil marriage of his grandson Duke Eudes of Angouleme (*1968) and Marie-Liesse de Rohan-Chabot (*1969) in Dreux/Normandie on June 19th Count Henri of Paris died a few days before his 91st birthday. He couldn't attend the ceremony because of illness. His eldest son Count Henri of Clermont (*1933) is the new heir to the French throne.
(What a sad day! I am sorry for Maria Paloma who lost her maternal grandfather and for all the others who were shocked and are mourning now!)

A few days after the death of the late Count Henri of Paris (*1908) his eldest son Henri (heir to the French throne) announced new titles of a few familymembers:
- his oldest son Francois (*1961) got the title "Count of Clermont".
- his younger son and heir Jean (*1965) became Dauphin du Viennois/de France.
- Henri himself took the title of his late father Count of Paris and he is also Duke of France.
- his wife Micaela (the former Princess of Joinville) became Madame Duchesse de France!
The new Count of Paris gave back the succession rights to his younger brother Count Michel of Evreux and to his nephew Comte Robert de la Marche. Robert's father Thibaut and Michel lost them after marrying morganatically.

On June 28th 1999 the funeral of the late Count of Paris took place in Dreux.

The religious wedding of Eudes and Marie-Liesse took place in a small town in Brittany/France on July 10th. It was only a private family-ceremony.

Count Wilhelm von Spee and his wife Lorraine, born as Countess of Schönborn-Buchheim, got their second child in August. It's a son called Paul. He is the 37th great-grandchild of the late Count of Paris.

Duke Charles-Louis of Chartres and his wife Ileana are expecting their second child in November(?).
